My Holidaily

It's the most wonderful time of the year and with that comes my Holidaily! Instead of a December Daily, I make a Holidaily every year for the Holiday season. It's inspired by Ali Edwards but my album includes Thanksgiving and New Years. So I cover each day starting either on Thanksgiving or just before it. I cover all the way through the month of December , including Christmas of course, all the way through the beginning of the New Year, until the fifth of January which is the twelfth day of Christmas and also my hubby's birthday.  In total there are at least fifty pages for the fourty or so days that I cover in my holidaily each year. Wow!

For this years album I decided to use a mix of things to make my Holidaily -- like stuff I have designed on photoshop, vintage goodies, some October Afternoon and a whole lot of Crate Paper (Maggie Holmes Shine mostly plus some old goodies from Confetti and Bundled Up and Craft Market and Open Book) and a few other random Christmas scraps here and there from various other companies. I think everything works together pretty well for a very whimsical, vintage Christmas time album!

The album itself is a pink and gold striped Studio Calico Handbook. I hung some Maggie Holmes Shine tassels from the front (love those) along with a vintage Santa tag that I got at a flea market, a wooden snowflake, Candy cane and a reindeer with a gold glitter heart on it. I attached them all using twine and added a bow with some vintage green silk ribbon. I finished it off with an October Afternoon flair button. Then along the bottom I wrote out Happy Holidays using the Shine thickers and the Pink Paislee Cedar Lane glitter words.

I wanted to do a page that showed a lot of different Holiday moments so I chose different pics that I thought represented our holiday celebrations and adventures.  I combined those with some Christmas sequins and pieces of Maggie Holmes Shine paper and some Crate Paper Wonder clear trasnparency cut outs and Crate Paper Journey clear transparency cut outs. This, plus a vintage Santa sticker from October Afternoon  with some gold foil cut into a circle behind it, a flair button, a glitter snowflake and tree, and a cute little gold clip to finish the look...and voila, a super sweet Christmas page!

Here is the back of that page. I loved decorating it too. Especially love that pic of Ry with the antlers!

This is my favorite layout from this album! I love the floral paper from Maggie Holmes' Shine collection sooooo much! I used a wooden Merry Christmas from Target and a 25 chipboard cut out by Heidi Swapp that I ran through my new Minc machine with Gold foil to show that this pic is from Christmas day. The paper is all Crate Paper from different collections and the little Christmas phrase cut outs and flair are from October Afternoon. I sewed here and there and added some Christmas sequins for a finishing touch!
