Fun Halloween Treat Bag | Crate Paper

Hello Everyone! It's Andrea here and today I want to share with you a little something that I made for my favorite time of year – Halloween-time! October is my favorite month by far, Autumn is my favorite season, and Halloween is the best holiday ever!!! This is due in large part to all the yummy candy of course! Lets just say I have a ridiculously big sweet tooth... Anyways, I thought that it would be wonderful to make cute little treat bags filled with candy for this Halloween-time using some awesome Crate Paper goodness!

I decided to use a combination of Crate Paper collections for my treat bag. I used some product from the new Cool Kid and Gather collections and also a little After Dark (last year's Halloween collection).

To start, I took a little canvas bag and painted it with a little spider web and the word “boo”. I chose to do the treat bag in traditional orange and black for Halloween plus some aqua thrown in for a fun, more modern look so I painted the “boo” in orange, but the web in aqua.

I tied a couple little tassels onto the side of the bag in aqua and peach to match, plus a few little tags like the “all you need is candy” tag from After Dark and the “remember this” tag from Gather for a sweet and special little addition to my treat bag.

Inside the bag I put lots of yummy candies like lollipops and chocolate and with them I added decorative cards like the “Trick or Treat” one that I added a little star paperclip to (from Cool Kid). I also added ephemera pieces from the Gather collection plus some tickets that I cut from one of the beautiful patterned papers in that lovely Maggie Holmes line.

I also decided to make a cool tag to go with my treat bag – one that I could use to write a special note for the recipient of my “boo” bag! To make my tag I used some of the black and white plus sign patterned paper from Cool Kid and to decorate it.

I used a fun little 2x2 pic framed with one of the frames I cut out of some Gather patterned paper and also some little sequin bats from After Dark. I think the bag came out really cute and I hope that I have inspired you to make some fun Halloween treat bags for your friends and loved ones filled with candies and other sweet surprises! Happy Halloween everybody!!! Now, I'm going to go eat some candy!!!!!!!! (p.s. I made a little video of how to make this fun Halloween treat bag if you want to check it out on my youtube channel – Fairytale Scrapbook)
