Hi everybody! It's Andrea, and I'm here to share with you a project life page and a card (well it's more of a tag in a bag...you'll see). I created them using the oh so lovely April Hip Kit!
For my project life spread I wanted to document a special day at the park with my hubby and some super cute puppies that we played with while we were there.
Since the layout was about taking time out of busy, hectic, and sometimes tough times, to stop and "smell the roses" (or pet the puppies), I decided to include in my project life album, a little muslin bag with a special card/tag in it. On the tag I wrote a special note to my hubby to remind him that we have to take time to remember what is really important every day.
For both the pl layout and the card I did some clustering and pop-up sewing techniques.
And for the tag I used the exclusive butterfly stencil to watercolor paint some butterflies onto the tag.
I sewed on a fussy cut butterfly from the patterned paper to pop off the tag and make it look like a butterfly was resting atop it. This, along with the water-colored butterflies, creates a soft and sweet mix-media look.
I hope you like my pl layout and card (tag and baggy) and that I've inspired you to do something similar in your project life album!
