Hello Everyone! So today I want to share with you how I set up my May calendar in my Heidi Swapp planner using awesome, pretty goodies from Crate Paper! I love decorating my planner! I especially love deciding on a look and color palette for each month and decorating that section accordingly. I think decorating the calendar for each month might be my favorite part :-) . For May, I decided the color palette would be pinks and black and white and green. I was inspired by my bedroom decorating plans (I'm currently re-painting and re-decorating my bedroom....or at least I was until a few weeks ago when things came to a sudden halt due to health problems mixed with a busy schedule). Anyways, I'm hoping in May, things will calm down with mine and my hubby's schedule and my nerve pain will calm down too and my hubby and I can get back to decorating my room. In the meantime, I will just have to have fun decorating my planner.
My room decor ideas were highly influenced by the Bloom collection by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper and specifically the black and white patterns and pinks and greens in it. So since my planner set up for May was inspired by my room, of course I had to use some awesome Bloom on my May planner calendar. I also mixed in some goodies from the Hello Love collection by Crate Paper and a little bit from other lovely Crate Paper collections like Little You, Open Book and Craft Market.
The little fox from the Little You collection was just begging me to use her in my planner! She asked so nicely, I just couldn't refuse... ;-)
I love that "sunshine" sticker from Bloom...it just makes me smile next to those little hearts I cut out of pattern paper from the collection. I just stapled the hearts in the middle so they would pop up a little for depth.
I really love the washi tape that comes in the Bloom collection, its all so wonderful! The washi tape booklet has so many different styles and patterns and colors of cute washi and it comes with just a little bit of each kind which gives you a lot of bang for your buck (instead of having to buy that many different kinds of washi tape rolls).
I especially love the "today, tomorrow, this week..." washi that comes in the Bloom collection. It's perfect for a planner-girl to use in her scheduling!
I really hope you like my May planner calendar and that I've inspired you to decorate your planner for May too! Hurry, May's almost here!!!
