Hello there again! I want to share with you all my new Heidi Swapp Memory Dex that I got from Michaels, and how I decided to use it. I love Heidi's whole Memory Dex idea...it's such a fun, cute way to document the things that are important to you and to make note of the things you enjoy. At least that is what I decided to do with my Memory Dex. I want to fill mine up with the things that I love, from the big to the small!
I decided that I would split the Memory Dex into sections of "the people I love", "things I love to do", "favorite items", "favorite places", etc, and then subsections that get more specific and detailed. The Memory Dex makes it easy to do this because it comes with tabs and dividers.
To celebrate National Scrapbook Day, I thought it would be fun to start on my Memory Dex during a live stream that I did that weekend. It will be an ongoing project but I got a good amount of it done during the NSD live stream on my YouTube channel, FairytaleScrapbook (you can watch the video of the live stream if you didn't get to watch live, just go to my channel).
I finished a whole subsection about my favorite person, my hubby, Ryan, and how much I love him! I also started on the subsection about shopping (which is definitely one of my favorite things to do)! For each Memory Dex card, I just used a pic that I thought fit what that subsection was about, some patterned papers to layer behind the pic, and some cute embellishments like stickers and paperclips to decorate. I did some sewing for added interest. I also used transparencies to make more dividers and I added in some little project life cards and envelopes and tags and things to further decorate my Memory Dex box.
I so enjoyed using Heidi Swapp's new Memory Dex to document my favorite things. It is a cool, "out of the box" way to scrapbook (well, technically, it's in a box, but you know what I mean). I have put it on the corner of my desk and I just love flipping through it! I can't wait till I get it all done!
I hope I have inspired you to work on a Memory Dex of your own and fill it up with the things that you love, big and small!
