Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you my planner setup for June. I used the lovely Little You collection combined with Maggie Holmes' Bloom collection from Crate Paper to decorate my June calendar. I decided to make the theme for June "Summer Dreaming."
To that end, I used a lot of pinks and golds and a few pops of blue and yellow (even though yellow is not my favorite) because I feel like that color palette really conveys a sunny summertime experience.
As you can see, I decided to use a lot of hearts and stars and butterflies for a dreamy tone in my planner decorations for June. I also repeated words like "dream" and "hello" and "summer" in order to show that for me June is all about the expectation of summertime - its beginnings and the dreams and adventures we seek to live out during those few, golden months.
You will notice that the largest "Hello" on my page is one that I fussy cut from some of the beautiful Bloom patterned paper. I added a little bit of pink watercolor to it, and then clustered it with a yellow rose from the ephemera pack and some enamel dots from the Little You collection.
I'm so excited for all the things I want to do this summer, and I can't wait to get started. And I think planning them out is part of the fun. I really wanted my June calendar to express my joyful anticipation and my hopes and dreams for this summer. I love the light and airy quality that came about from combining the sweet innocence of the Little You collection with the beauty of the Bloom collection.
I'd like to point out that I have been trying to stamp more lately, so I used three different stamps in this planner spread - a bow and the word "Hello" from the Bloom stamp set, and the "Dream a little dream" stamp from the Shine roller date stamp by Maggie Holmes.
I love the way this planner spread turned out. I had fun using my butterfly punch and creating cute banners and tags to work with. But I think my favorite thing about the spread are the Little You decorative paper clips that I used. I just love paper clips so much, and these are especially adorable. I've been looking forward to using them in my planner.
I hope you enjoyed my June planner spread, and that I've inspired you to decorate your planner for June!
