Happiness Layout and Project Life Page | Hip Kit Club

Hello everybody!  Today I want to share with you a couple of layouts that I did for my Project Life album. I like to mix traditional layouts with pocket pages in my Project Life album, so let's start by looking at the project life pocket page that I did to document a recent date night out with my hubby.

I wanted to include a lot of pictures in this pocket page, so I only used three of the exclusive project life cards that come in the Hip Kit Club July kit – two 3x4 cards and one 4x6. And on the 4x6 I actually added a few more small pictures, so that in total on my pocket page I would have six pictures.

I think using the project life cards that come in the kit as journaling cards for your project life or decorative pieces are great, but they also function as a great matting so you can add even more pictures to your pocket page layout. I had fun playing with all the embellishments in the kit, especially the exclusive goodies like the acrylic pieces, the puffy stickers, the flare, and the ephemera.

I think this pocket page layout came out really vibrant and fun for the summer, and I hope you like it, too.

I also want to share with you the traditional layout I did for my project life album.

Because it goes across from my pocket page, I wanted to coordinate the two. For this reason, I used a lot of the same kind of elements and embellishments on my layout as I did on my project life page.

For my layout I cut down one of the exclusive patterned papers in the July kit from 12x12 to 9x12 so it would be the same size as my pocket page. I used the pretty, pink polka dot paper designed by Kim Watson to be my background, and, with the Bella Blvd Illustrated Faith rainbow patterned paper, I layered and stitched a mat for my large, focal photo.

In the photo, my husband and I are pointing in different directions and being silly, so I utilized arrows from the ephemera pack that come in the main kit and the project life kit for July. I also used a bunch of fun-loving, silly words that I thought described that day – like “explore,” “laugh,” “happiness,” and “silly.”

For these I used a combination of puffy stickers, die-cut patterned paper, glitter thickers, exclusive thickers, and ephemera from the July kit. I hope you like my layouts and that I've inspired you to create a traditional layout and a coordinating pocket page layout, using the July Hip Kits, for your project life album!
