"Tomb Sweet Tomb" - Zero House Purse
The creation of this handmade, wooden purse, designed with Zero’s dog house/tomb from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in mind, was inspired by a vintage, wooden, house purse from the 40s/50s. We have lovingly recreated the size, shape, and functionality of that vintage purse (made of 3/8” plywood) while using single and double layers of 1/8” MDF to balance low weight with high durability, and we’ve also added elements of laser-cut acrylic around the sides for style and decoration. The inside dimensions of the purse are 8 1/2” long, 5” wide, and 7 1/2” high. The roof “tiles” are laser-engraved, the hardware is silver (including four, tiny feet for the purse to rest on), and the handle is a soft, faux leather. The inside of the purse has been lined with velvet to protect whatever you end up putting in there, and there is even a mirror on the inside of the lid. This is truly a collectible piece of wearable art that will last you for years to come, if properly cared for.
NOTE: As each purse is handmade with extreme care and attention to detail, please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.
