Hi all. Belen of Art &
Start with a sheet of 12x12 double sided, patterned paper.
Fold it about 3/4 of the way up, roughly gauging the size that you'll need for your planner. The shorter half is what will become the front of your pocket.
Once it was folded, you may find that the front of your pocket may need to be trimmed a bit.
Once it's been trimmed to size, use a bone folder to make your edges nice & crisp.
Next, take the right edge of your folded paper and fold it in a little less than a third.
Take the left edge of your paper and fold it back, away from the first fold. Be sure to line up the right edges of your tri-fold. This is what will create the extra space along the left edge of your pocket, that you'll punch holes in.
Punch holes through the back fold, along the left edged.
If you find that the front of your pocket is covering any part of the holes you've just punched, trim it back a bit.
The left side of your pocket should look like this.
Add a bit of adhesive to the inside front flap of your pocket, just alon the right and left edges, to secure it. You don't want things slipping out.

Once you've secured the edges of your pocket, it's time to decorate it. This is 1/2 the fun! The "Sweet!" kit includes the cutest ephemera.
Once your tri-fold pocket is decorated & stuffed, just slip it into the rings of your planner.
And there you have it! These are fun to make for yourself and fun to include in happy mail to a planner friend. I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial. If I've inspired you to make your own, I'd love to see. Please tag me on IG @ArtandWhimsy so I can love all over it!
Wishing you a week full of whimsy!
