Hi Fairytale Club fans! I'm Ashley Horton, and I'm excited to be guest designing this month with the fun Take Note Kit! There are so many happy colors and embellishments! I also used cut files for this month, that you can access if you purchased this month's Happily Ever After kit.
I started my layout, by choosing the Black & White heart paper for my background. I usually like to work with a patterned paper for my background and try to choose something subtle. Even though the hearts are on the larger side, the Black & White color make it more of a neutral pattern, so I thought it would be great for the background paper. Then I repeated the word "love" in Silhouette Studio, welded the words together and cut it from the Pink notebook patterned paper. Once I had it in place on the layout, I machine stitched through each of the words.
I placed my photo on the right-hand side of the layout and changed it to Black & White to tie in with the background paper and also to help it stand out from the embellishments on the layout. I always like to cluster embellishments and sometimes my title around the photo. I used some pieces from the Ephemera Pack around the photo and two of the words from the pack to create my title.
Next, I wanted to add some dimension to the layout with the Puffy Word Stickers. I placed them in two different spots on the layout, to help create a visual triangle. I love that you can mix the words to create fun phrases and titles.
I finished the layout, by adding some hearts from the Ephemera Pack over the hearts on the patterned paper. You could also add some color to the hearts on the background paper, with watercolors or colored pencils for a custom look!
