Welcome to 2018 everyone! This year, I've decided to do my memory keeping in the memorydex format that I got started on last year. Today, I've made a few cards for the beginning of 2018 with the new Everyday Wishes collection. Let's check them out!
One of my favorite things about Memorydex is that there are dies so you can make basically anything into a card. For the first two, I used two of the personal sized planner dividers and for the second two, I just used the photos so I could build on them.
First up was this Hello 2018 card. I'm obsessed with unicorns so I thought I'd use the unicorn divider for that front card! I grabbed some thickers from my stash, cut the card from the divider, glued one of the die cut words to the front and added the thickers. Easy peasy and it looks great!
Since there were so many beautiful flowers in this collection, I decided to add a card about my One Little Word for this year, bloom. For this card, I used the die to cut a card from a divider (seriously, they're great for extra paper, especially since they're thicker!) Then, I layered the flowers, added my word in thickers and stamped OLW on the tag.
Next up are the photo cards! First is this one of the food I got at my friend's new restaurant. It was so yummy and all I could think of seeing it again was hearts! ♥️ So, I cut the card from the photo and glued a few hearts to the left side. Since the picture's the main event here, I like to keep the decorations small and focused.
The last card is this photo of my treadmill at the gym. I've really started to take my health and fitness seriously so this is my spot a few times a week. I wanted to commemorate the start of all of my hard work since it's such a part of my daily life. Again, I used the die to cut the card from the photo, added some stars ⭐️ and it was done.
I love the Memorydex because of how versatile and easy it is. I like it much better than Project Life because I also don't feel like I have to do things weekly, I can just add moments from my everyday life. I hope you enjoyed checking out this second batch of Memorydex cards and the new Everyday Wishes collection. Until next time, happy crafting!
