Aimee here, today I’m sharing a super simple birthday card.
I’m not a huge card maker, so when I do make cards I want them to be super simple or I totally stress out about it. Card makers always tell layout makers, “it’s just like making a mini layout” and layout makers tell card makers, ‘it’s just like making a big card”.
I like to buy the blank pre-made cards as my base. That way I don’t fill like I’m using up all my good supplies. I know crazy huh.
So, for this card, all I used was a 5 x 6.5 piece of “by the beautiful sea”.
Isn’t this the coolest piece of paper, I love it.
I fussy cut the mermaid from the 12x12 paper “on the go” and adhered her on top of the sequins with 3d foam adhesive.
How fun are those sequins that I adhered to the card? I just used a clear tape runner and sprinkled them on top. I also cut the “bubbles” from the mermaid and added them with 3d foam adhesive.
Don’t forget to add a title. Here I printed out “Mermaids have more fun” on to some cardstock and then cut it into strips.
There you have it, a simple birthday card with a lot of sparkle!
Do you enjoy making cards or layouts better?
XOXO Aimee
