Hi everyone, It’s Aimee. I am so excited to share my layout using the “Practically Perfect” kit.
This kit was inspired by “Mary Poppins” & “Mary Poppins Returns”. And it’s just so perfect to scrap these winter/spring days!
We had a whole week of rain here in the Los Angeles area. I just knew I had to scrap a photo of my Hunter rain boots! It’s not very often we get to wear our rain boots in this part of the country.
Also, to create this layout, I went a bit out of my comfort zone. That’s right, I water colored. Now I can’t say that I water colored, cause really I have no idea how. I just pushed some color and water around my page to create a base.
I used a piece of “London Sky” to mat my photo {I was actually using digital elements for this layout, and I printed my kit. That’s why you see “lines” in my paper my printer needs to be re aligned}. And I used 3-d foam adhesive to give dimension to my photo and mat paper.
I placed the die cut words “practically perfect” with some 3-d foam adhesive right on top of my photo. And then I stamped the date at the bottom of my photo. {yes, you see that correct. I forgot to change the year on my date roller stamp, {{face plant in hands!}}.
I then adhered the cute little silhouette of Mary Poppins at the bottom of my page with 3-d foam adhesive.
To finish of my layout, I splattered painted some black dots with tattered angels oil slick.
I just love how this gives my layout kinda of that mix media look. I am always so happy when I try something different and go out of my comfort zone.
I seriously can’t wait to use more of the “Practically Perfect” kit. Cause it’s practically perfect. . .
Do you ever leave your comfort zone and try something new?
XOXO, Aimee
