Holiday Cards with Henny

Hi there.....hope your Thanksgiving was warm, cozy, and filled with love and family!  I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday! The weeks fly by so quickly...December will be here pretty soon! 

I have a handmade Christmas card with matching envelope to share with you today. I’ve used the cutest collection from The Fairytale Club called Jolly. I love the colors used, from red and pink, to mint green and aqua blue. 

Picked up the Santa 🎅🏻 die cut as the focal point for this card which I’m sure He’d brought smiles to everyone’s faces 😊. For the background, I thought  I use brighter patterned ones would be a great choice. On the left paper, I cut strip of a different paper that comes with Santa prints and used it instead toss it away 😊. Then used some of other and started arrange everything together!

For the bottom, the background of this Joy word, used another different patterned paper and made it into doily using my doily metal die. Love one of the flair buttons that comes from the kit, added on the top of the Joy word to create more dimensional ☺️.

As the interior of the card, I created a simple design by used up the left over papers and used the Dear Santa letter die cut as well as some other die cuts.

Teresa's Christmas Dreaming TN

Hey guys! Teresa here today! 
And here are some pics of my TN set up! All ready for December. 

This kit was so fun to play with! I like to think that’s my husband and I dreaming of Christmas, I love all the pastel colors mixed with the reds and greens! 

Let’s start with how many die cuts you get in this kit! And the adorable buttons! Which I turn into paperclips! 

The signature Deer which is in almost all the kits! I love her!

Up close of the dashboard I glued down on my notebook. 

This kit is perfect for Xmas! You get two sheets of stickers, buttons and die cuts galore! And so much cute scrapbook paper and adorable dashboards for your planner! 

Let It Snow Layout with Enza

Hello everyone! This is Enza, and today I am sharing a new layout that is all about snowflakes. I really wanted to use the Winter Wonderland Acetate Transparency included in the “Jolly” kit, so I created a background to go with it.

I built my page around a snowflake wreath cut file, which served as a starting point for the placement of photo and embellishments. I cut a circle out of the acetate piece to fit the center of the wreath. I love how the gold snowflakes pop against the background!

To create dimension and bring in more color, I layered a few snowflakes, which I die cut out of patterned papers from the kit, on top of the white ones.

Next, the photo. I created some layers behind it and adhered it down using foam adhesive. The embellishments in this kit are so fun, it's hard not to use them all! The word “Joy” from the ephemera pack was perfect as my title. Isn't the pink deer just adorable? I completed the layout with a few more embellishments, gold and silver sequins that come in the kit, and enamel dots from my stash. This layout turned out so sparkly! I love it!

A Winter TN Junk Journal

Hey everyone, Tiffany here! For my project today, I decided to create a "junk journal" styled insert for my pocket traveler's notebook using the new Jolly kit. I mainly stuck with the light, white colors of the kit because they are my favorite and I wanted the journal to look more winter wonderland as oppose to Christmas, since I don't celebrate it. I love how the kit has those light pinks, blues and mints in it as well, so I pulled out everything in that color scheme. I also pulled out some white paper doilies and old book pages from my own stash to include in my insert making.

What I did first was create my insert cover. I mostly used the personal sized planner divider inserts for this. Since a pocket TN is so small, the personal planner inserts are perfect if you don't want to cut into one of the 12x12 papers. I took one of the inserts that I liked the plain pattern of (this pink star one) and cut it down to size. I then cut out a bunch of squares from the other different patterns and lightly glued them to the back side of that pink pattern insert, which covered up the Christmas part of that divider. Once I had a patchwork quilt feel to it, I went ahead and ran it through my sewing machine so that the end result really ended up looking like a patchwork quilt. After folding my cover in half, I embellished the edges with some lace and pom pom trims. I just love the delicate touch the trims give to the cover. I kept my cover super simple and added two of the snowflake die cuts layered in the center.

Next, I compiled my pages for the insert. I cut down to size a few of the papers from the kit. With the mint sided paper and the blue snowflake paper, I ended up applying a thin layer of white gesso over them, in order to soften and lighten them up just a little bit. I didn't want any dark papers in my journal because I wanted to keep it looking like a winter wonderland. I love how the gesso distresses the papers a bit and the white just looks like snow! I did this same technique with the Faith Love Joy planner divider as well, to soften up that darker blue color. Once I prepped those pages, I cut everything down to size, even some of my old book pages and assembled my insert. I added some plain white paper to, just so that I had enough alternating pages in my journal. I folded in a couple of white doilies as well and once I had everything ordered the way I want it, I stitched it all together.

Once I finished my insert, I went to work on a matching bookmark or page marker. I took that Faith Love Joy planner insert that I had gessoed and cut it down to size. I then took all the little leftover bits of paper I had on my desk and patchwork them all together like I did my journal cover. I ran it through my sewing machine as well. I then added a white doily, a piece of ripped book page and a bit from the cut apart sheet that says "Love Joy Faith" on it. Once I glued all those pieces down, I  ran it through my sewing machine again to add stitching around the "Love Joy Faith" piece. I took another scrap and made it into a little tab to add to the top of my page marker. I also stitched that on. I embellished it with a phrase sticker from the Take Note kit that says "love to create" and another scrap piece of paper that I cut into a small banner strip, which I also ended up sewing on.

Now, since the pocket TN I'm using only has one secretarial pocket on the inside, I got a little creative with a small glassine bag, which I taped to the pocket. I decorated it with some old book page scrap and a few of the tickets from the cut apart sheet. On the inside, I used some scraps too make a little tag that reads "hello beautiful." The phrase stickers I used are from the Take Note kit. I added a paper clip from my stash just to hold the bag secure in place. In the actual secretarial pocket, I just made a card out of a planner divider scrap just to act as decoration for my pocket. I layered a doily, some book paper, and that cute little polar bear that I cut out of the cut apart sheet. I used the scalloped edge to that bear card at the top and just embellished the card with one of the gold foil clear stickers that says "Joy." I covered the back of the car with a poem from the Alice in Wonderland book I took the book pages from.

I love how soft and delicate everything came out looking. I don't really know how I'll fill this little journal up just yet, but I'm thinking of doing a daily photo challenge in December, so I might just want to add a photo a day that I take into its pages. I'm still very indecisive on that one. But I hope you enjoyed this little walk through of my journal!

Merry Christmas from Allie

Hello friends, today I'm sharing a fun, festive layout using the Jolly collection! 

This layout was all about the happy colors featured in the kit--I can't get enough of them! I started with a cut and fold file from the Silhouette store. I folded the trees and backed each one with paper. I used watercolors to paint the other half of the trees to coordinate with the paper I backed them with. Next, I glued down the folded part of the trees, and my background was complete!

To help my photo stand out, I added a doily behind my photo. I used the die cuts to add a title and continue the tree theme. Finally, I finished off with a few snowflakes for added interest.

I had so much fun creating this layout, and it definitely got me in the mood for Christmas! Be sure to check out the Jolly kit!

Easy Christmas Cards with Carolee

I absolutely love making homemade Christmas cards but when your list gets long, you need to find a fast, fun card to make. With that in mind, I came up with this card which comes together really easily!

First I took a 5"x10" piece of the Merry Christmas paper and folded it in half. I cut down one of the personal size dividers to a 4x4" square. Fold the Merry Christmas paper in half and then attach the square to the front. Grab your ephemera and pick out your favorite pieces. In this case, I grabbed the Santa from the die cut pack and fussy cut the tree from a card in the cut apart sheet. 

Next, I decided to add a bit of dimensionality with pop dots. This is a really easy way to add interest to your cards and it doesn't lift it high enough that you couldn't mail it. I adhered the tree directly onto the square then popped up Santa and the Merry Christmas sentiment. 

Last but not least, it's Christmas and that means it needs a bit of shimmer and glitter! I added some of the snowflake stickers from the sticker sheet then glued some sequins onto the tree to give it a decorated look. 

I hope you like this card and that it inspired you to make some cards of your own. This card came together so quickly and easily that you could have half your cards done in an afternoon! Until next time, happy crafting!

Adeline's Christmas TN using the Jolly collection

Hi, my fairy friends,

It's Adeline today on the blog, I am so happy to publish this post with the awesome Christmas "Jolly" kit. Like the other kit, I am in love!!!! But I really love Christmas season I am crazy about it!!!!

I made my complete Jullie Nutting traveler notebook from My Prima Planner set up with this kit. I chose this TN because of his colors mint and pink, the inside is like a pink candy cane perfect for the Jolly kit.

I decorated my dashboard with the snowflakes gold foil acetate and some ephemera. I also put so many tags, ephemera, and paper clips to make my cover pretty.

And then I made my notebooks decor with paper and some embellishments of the kit. In this cases I don't calculate anything, I let my creativity speak, that's the way I am having the most fun: Christmas songs enough for me to be in my fairy world!!!

I created some paper clips with the flair button, so cute I can't resist!!! When I saw the sequins my ideas was, a shaker card!!!!! So I did it and I like it so much.

Jolly Pocket TN with Henny

Hello everyone... Today I’m going to be sharing with y’all my new set up for my pocket size Simple Scallop Traveler’s Notebook using the new collection of Christmas theme called “Jolly” and it’s pretty simple set up I’m doing this time.

This pocket-size inserts measured 3.5” x 5.5”.

As you can see the interior of the leather cover originally came with no pocket so what I did was adding an adhesive clear pocket and just stuffed with cute paperclip and some die cuts.

Then for the dashboard, I always try to create something fun yet interesting dashboard in every one of my planners and traveler’s notebook. So this one I used a couple of patterned papers and embellished with some die cuts and other pieces from Jolly kits.

The next page I created a pocket on both left and right sides where you can store your washi, or stamps.

The back side of next page was done with a pretty simple decoration.
