A Summer Adventure by the Sea

Hello there, fellow fairytale lovers! Carolee here again with another project, this time in my traveler's notebook. I use traveler's notebooks to make small layouts that are fun for me to look back on. I'll use the smaller size to try new techniques or just for smaller stories. This time, I used it to play around with some patterned papers from the Storytime kit.

For this one, I pulled out an old die from Lawn Fawn to cut out the polaroid-like picture frames. From there, I printed pictures from a recent afternoon out for Andrea's birthday. It'd been a very long time since I'd been in the ocean so it was nice to catch up with her and play a bit in the water. Did we accidently wear the same dress that day? Yes. Did we care? Heck no!

After layering the pictures, it was time to add little bits of ephemera. Because it's a TN, I don't like to go crazy with 3D elements, but I couldn't resist a few sequins. I think I'd put sequins on toast if I could! I decorated the photos with smaller ephemera pieces as well as some of the phrase stickers. I layered the camera with a couple of phrases, one from the ephemera pack and one from the cut apart sheet. Lastly, just a bit of journaling printed out and matted on some of the paper with the pink cameras on it to match the big camera below it.

I had so much fun making this layout! I love the look of the bigger original Polaroid photos but stick to Instax for the most part. Using the die and some fun photo editing, I can get a great look alike a lot easier! I hope you liked the layout. Are you a TN fan? Do you use it just for planning or do you like to keep a scrapbook insert like I do? If you're a mini-scrapper like me, try it out with your Storytime kit. The summer vibes are great for a trip to the beach, pool or really any fun little activity you do!
