Like Andrea, Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love the cute side of Halloween, adorable pumpkins, everything orange and black with little touches of pink and purple, all the yummy treats! One of my absolute favorite things though is visiting Disneyland during Halloween. That’s why I decided to finally document this photo from a couple of years ago using one of my favorite past kits, This is Halloween!
I decided to make this a 6x8” layout for a change up from my usual traveler’s notebooks. First up, I cut down one of the dividers to fit the size I wanted. I sliced a 1” piece of my favorite purple polka dot paper next and decided to run it through my scallop border punch for an extra cute touch.
Next, it was time to lay down a photo and my title. The “Halloween” is from the die cut pack and “this is” is from a stamp set I had in my stash. Last, I continued the touch of black using a little Mickey head enamel dot.
Finally, it was time to add a cluster of die cuts. I wanted to use the colors that were already in the papers I’d used, pink and purple, and then add other colors from the collection, the bits of orange and teal. I added them all and then to add the last touch of black, I used my Mickey head punch to add one into the cluster.
So that’s it! This is my first Halloween layout for the year and I’m in love! Are you ready for Halloween yet? Let me know in the comments and until next time, happy crafting!
