Fall Stitched Layout with Allie

Hello there! Today I'm sharing a fun layout inspired by the gorgeous colors in the "This is Halloween" kit! I love the use of pinks and purples for Halloween, and couldn't wait to make a page featuring those two colors.

To create this layout, I started with a cut file from the Silhouette Store. I used my Cameo and the sketch pen feature to trace it onto white cardstock. I used the outline as a guide to stitch the design! I focused on using orange, pink, and purple. Once I had my stitching done, I began adding the mixed media background. I grabbed my shimmery watercolors and painted them onto plastic packaging. I laid the packaging down like a stamp repeatedly across the page. I layered the colors until I had a background I was satisfied with!

Next, I grabbed my favorite patterned papers from the October kit and cut little banners out of them for the layers for my photo. I added a few stickers, a flair button, and some heart die cuts to complete this page! I had so much fun using a different color scheme for a fall/Halloween layout. Spooky Snail Mail Flipbook with Henny

Well hello there..! Henny here sharing this snail mail envelope flipbook with you! So in this flipbook project,  I'll be heavily relying on our "We R Memory Keepers" envelope punch board. The envelope flipbook that I'm creating is measured 5.75" x 4.25" of each envelope. And for the outside envelope, it's measured slightly bigger than the flipbook itself. 

In this picture showing you the opening side part of the envelope, and all I did was just added the big cat picture I cut off from the pattern paper I took from this collection. 

... and while this picture showing you the other side of the envelope, and decorated it with doily paper, the leftover pattern paper and a label address die cut from this collection as well. 

On the first page, I created an envelope with simple decoration to store stickers continue to the second page (backside of the second envelope), and simply using the acetate and creating another pocket to store a washi tag.

The third page of a (second) envelope with simple decoration as well to store paperclips, same thing with the fourth page (third envelope) with a simple decoration to store diecuts or ephemera.

Moving to the fifth page (back side of the third envelope) I created a pocket using the leftover pattern paper to store some tags. And for the last envelope which is the sixth page, an envelope to store the letter for our pen pal 😊. 

The measurement of this envelope flipbook was made intended for fitting into A6 traveler's notebook in case that our recipient of this flipbook gets to use this flipbook as an insert pockets for their traveler's notebook.

October Daily with Carolee

Hello everyone! Have you ever heard of October Daily? How about December Daily? If you've heard of December Daily, it's the same thing: taking photos and scrapping them every day for a month to show what your holiday was like that year. The only difference is that in October Daily's case, it's Halloween instead of a winter holiday.

Today, I've got two pages to share with you. In the past, I'd used pocket pages, but at the beginning of the year, I decided that I was really not a pocket page girl and moved over, almost exclusively, to traveler's notebooks. I love them!

First up is this day where I started my annual October rewatch of all the Harry Potter movies #hufflife For this page, I used some black paper from my stash and circle punches to make the background. Then I layered a tab and picture mat cut from the different sides of Sanderson under an Instax photo of my Instagram story from that time. I used the journaling card and one of the tickets from the cut apart sheet and it was complete! That's one of the things I really love about TNs. They can come together really quickly and with a project like October Daily where you're doing something every day, that's a big advantage!

Next up is this day where, seriously, the highlight of my day was a salad. I know it seems crazy, but that salad was really good! I also plated it on some of my vintage china so that helped add to the prettiness factor. For this page, I again dug into Sanderson (what can I say? I love that paper!) using part of the B side to fill the right page and using a bit of the A side as a photo mat. Then I added some pieces from the ephemera pack around to add a title and a bit of pink. Finally, I found that little cat sticker in my stash so I had to add him! I finished it off with a couple stamps from my stash to get some journaling and the date on there.

A Not-So-Scary Disney Autograph Book with Tiffany

Hey everyone. Tiffany here, back today with a fun project using the new "This is Halloween" kit. Now, I'm not a holiday person--I don't celebrate any of them--so holiday themed kits tend to be a bit tricky for me to work with. But when I received my kit, unboxed it, and realized it was completely inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus and was super cute, I thought it would be perfect for an autograph book for my upcoming Disney World trip!

I'll be going to Disney with my friend the last week of October. We are planning to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom one of the nights we're there, so I thought it would be really cool to bring along an autograph book for the characters to sign when we do all the meet & greets (which we're totally planning to do). How perfect to make my own autograph book with a Disney-inspired Halloween themed kit!

So the little book I made is about 4x6 in size. I made the covers from chipboard that I covered with the black and orange star paper from the scrapbook kit. I used the backer card packaging from the sticker sheets for the inside cover linings. I embellished the cover with a mixture of pieces from the cut apart sheet and die cut ephemera pack, as well as some of the gold foil stickers and enamel dots from my stash. I topped it off with one of the flair buttons with the little kitty witch on it.

The first page of my book is a piece of the acetate sheet that came in the kit. I layered a few labels from the cut apart sheet on top of it at the bottom right corner to act as my title of sorts. I'm planning to fill in the pink label with either the dates or "Walt Disney World 2017" or something of the sort. The page behind it is just a simple pink plaid pattern. I decided on that pattern because it wasn't too busy. I didn't want it to take away from the heart jack-o'-lantern pattern on the acetate.

For the rest of the pages, I used the personal sized planner inserts that I just trimmed down to 4x6. It was super easy to do. I only had to trim off a bit at the top or bottom of the insert to get it down to 4x6. I arranged my pages how I liked them and began to embellish. I used all sorts of embellishments from the die cut pack, cut apart sheet, and sticker sheets from the kit, along with a few enamel dots from my stash to create my pages. I also used some white cardstock to create little places for the Disney characters to sign. It is an autograph book after all. I made sure to decorate one page and leave the opposite page blank for signatures.

I loved using these planner inserts for my pages because a lot of them had super cute designs and sayings already on them. The ones that I didn't really like I just made into my signature page by covering up the design with white cardstock and using the opposite pattern page to create my own standout design.

For example, with this page, I covered up the "Beware" statement on the orange polka dot page and added this piece from the cut apart sheet on the opposite page to create a new statement page. That's what so great about this kit, you can alter anything that you don't necessarily like to suit your project.

I love how this autograph book ended up turning out. It will definitely make a very cute keepsake once it's all filled up with character signatures! I can even add 4x6 photos with the characters I get signatures from into it by simply punching holes and inserting them where I want. That's what's so great about using these binding rings; I can continue to add pages in whenever I want.

The "Spooky" Kit is Here! : Disney Halloween Kit now for Sale!

Hello everyone! The theme for this kit is obviously Disney Halloween and the "Mickey's Halloween Party" at the parks, but also specifically, "The Haunted Mansion", which was the theme for our "Spooky" event at Disneyland. Therefore, you will find a lot of images throughout the kit that are inspired by the popular Disney ride. This includes an image of "Madame Leota" in her crystal ball, and also a super cool image of the Haunted Mansion itself, along with adorable ghosties and ghoulies here and there throughout the collection...including ones with Mickey ears on!

Since this is technically an "add-on kit", it is smaller than the main kit, but packed with adorable Halloween goodness! The kit consists of 6x8 planner pages, 3x4 cards, and also 8x8 patterned papers. We went ahead and did 8x8 this time, as opposed to 12x12 so that we could add in the package of 3x4 cards for you guys too! And frankly I think those came out super duper cute! Let's go ahead and start by checking that awesome pack of 3x4 cards out! Here is a close up look at some of my favorites!

As you can see, the 3x4 cards match really nicely with all the goodies that come both in this kit, but also in the "This is Halloween" kit. The cards may be my favorite part of the kit and are oh so perfect for pocket pages and documenting Halloween in a mini album...like an "October Daily" album, especially!

Ok, now lets take a look at the patterned papers. I love the patterns in this kit! The color scheme, for the patterned papers, as for the entire kit, is very similar to the color scheme of the main "This is Halloween" kit. We have the traditional orange and black and white, but also some pink and lavender and green as well.

And now, lets take a look at the planner pages that come in the "Spooky" kit. These pages are awesome!

I especially love the cool haunted mansion page with the mansion and ghosts on one side and the design print on the back that says "foolish mortals" on it! That design on the back is inspired by the creepy Haunted Mansion wallpaper print that you can find on Haunted Mansion goodies at the park! 

Oh, and the creepy "boo" Mickey, who is so super duper cute with his spiderweb ears...he is definitely a BIG favorite too!!!

And the "Madame Leota" page that says "seances nightly...from regions beyond" is so cool! Love her!

Oh I super love my "Spooky" planner page that has my little ghostie with this Mickey ears on!

My "Happy Halloween" page with my Mickey Jack-o-lantern on the other side is definitely another fave! He is a wee bit scary looking...but still cute of course!

And the "grim, grinning ghosts" with the Halloween castle on the other side is a must have!

And of course, we included some October calendar pages for you as well!

Spooky Event Review! : A Magical Papercrafting Party at Disneyland

Hello everyone! Andrea here! Today we are going to talk about our "Spooky" Disney Papercrafting event that we had on October, Friday the 13th. Our first event, The Mad Tea Party at Disneyland, went so well, that people asked us for more! I knew I wanted to do one for Halloween-time and I am so happy that we got to do this one on Friday the 13th...one of the spookiest days of the year...and on a day that Disney was having a Mickey's Halloween Party! I was so looking forward to this event and I wished so hard for it to be really magical and fun and my wishes and hopes certainly came true because the event turned out so super duper amazing! We all had so much fun at the event...and at the after-party in the parks too! 

We started the day in Downtown Disney at Catal Restaurant, on the balcony, for a beautiful and spooktacular "Haunted Mansion" themed lunch and papercrafting party! 

At our "Spooky" Event, we worked on a special "Spooky" project that was a planner/album to plan and document both this Disney Halloween event as well as the entire Halloween season and the various Halloween things we do this month of October!

The party was a Halloween party, so most of us dressed up in some kind of costume or halloween-type outfit...including me...I was Madame Leota, the fortune teller, and resident head-ghoul of the Haunted Mansion. And my husband, Ryan, dressed up as the Hat Box ghost to match!

Everything was decorated really spooky cute! We had a long table that was set up perfect for both seances and playing with pretty paper! There were candles and candelabras, a crystal ball, lots of cool and creepy photographs of ghosts and ghouls, a coffin filled with pretty vintage Halloween buttons and stickers and things, and more, set up all over the table. Each seat got a cool black cat tote bag filled with a planner album and an exclusive Fairytale Club kit called "Spooky" that was filled with lots of Haunted Mansion and Disney Halloween themed goodies to help us document this occassion and our Halloween-time in general. It is an "add on kit" to the main "This is Halloween Kit" that we have out right now, and it matches with it beautifully. In fact, several of the party-goers purchased a "This is Halloween" Kit while they were there too!

The planner albums came in a metallic gold or a metallic purple and after lunch we took them out as well as our kits and we started playing ...punching holes in the planner dividers/pages and filling up the pockets, etc. 

Talking about lunch, we had a fabulous three course meal, plus appetizers! I think the braised ribs and the raspberry sorbet was my favorite! But of course, we ate quickly and/or multi-tasked so we could play with our pretty kit as much as possible! None of us finished our project...but that is all good because of course, everyone who came to the event gets the online class as well which will be starting tomorrow and have tons of videos with awesome tips and tricks and techniques to document this special Disney Halloween event and all of the month of October and the Halloween season in a special album! Yaaaaay!

And before, during, and after we ate, I intermittently gave out prizes. We had planner prizes, like a Studio Calico kit, scrappy prizes like washi tape, gift certificate prizes for places like the Cut-shoppe and also The Fairytale Club of course, and awesome Disney Halloween prizes like Fairytale Ears with flowers, witches hats, and jack-o-lanterns on them! 

During our Spooky Party, we each took turns (individually and in pairs and groups) taking pics in the photobooth set-up/area where we had this really spooktacular Haunted Mansion clock set up along with balloons and props you could use to take the pic with! The clock is just like the creepy grandfather clock on the Haunted Mansion ride and just like that clock, it counts to 13...just like the date of our party!

After our main event ended, some of us continued on to the "after-party" in the parks! We went first to Disney's California Adventure, which for the first time is decorated this year for Halloween! It is gorgeous in there and we had such fun! We met at the Sleepy Hollow,Headless Horseman statue and took a group pic.

We ran into some characters along our way...like Minnie, who was herself a magical fortune teller, like me!

We had a great time in the newly decorated Cars-land which was filled with "Haul-o-ween" and "Trunk-or Treat" goodness!

After our trip to DCA, we went into Disneyland for the "Mickey's Halloween Party"! If you have ever gone to the Halloween Party there, you know how really amazing it is! The parade is cool and the trick-or-treating around the park and all the villains everywhere that you can take pics with, and the fireworks! Oh I had the best time watching the fireworks! They were even more spooktacular this year than they have been in years before! 

Everything was really magical! We had a great time posing for pics and going on rides like Star Tours and the Haunted Mansion and just hanging out and having fun! It was an amazing time at the parks...and that is on top of the amazing time in Downtown Disney papercrafting too! Overall, the day was one we will all remember and cherish! I know I will!

"Andrea did not disappoint! Fun decorations, including a handmade clock prop in the photobooth almost as tall as I was, yummy food, an adorable kit and lots of fun at our after-party was enjoyed by one and all. As with the last one, the best part of the event was the lovely ladies who joined us for some crafting. It was so nice to see faces from past events along with some new ones. Being in a niche of a niche hobby can get a bit lonely at times, so it’s always nice to be in the company of people who understand your obsessions!"

Document Your Halloween Happenings in a Memory Planner with Kim

Hello!  Kim here!  I hope you are enjoying your fall and Halloween season!  I do love this sweater weather and those spooky early nights.  I also love taking the time to document the pre-Halloween time when the anticipation leading up to that one day is just killing my two youngest kiddos.  This year I'm using the "This is Halloween" Kit from Fairytale Scrapbook Club for a quick weekday trip to our zoo which yielded some of my favorite pictures of this season.

On this first page of my memory planner, I've got a full and partial spread.  I sized down the personal planner page of the spell-girl so my other spread below could get some face time.  I did make a paper clip attached to it from 2 flair buttons under which I have the jack-o-lantern heart acetate punched in and nestled underneath my clip. 

On the backside, I've got a picture of my cheeky little munchkins along with some of that super fun ephemera pack pieces.  I love that these extra punched and included paper tip-ins can help yield more pictures per spread with more surface area to craft on.

Underneath my little tip in, I've got a few more pictures snuggled up with some of the 12 x 12 paper cut-a-parts. I did use one of those fab gold foiled stickers on skull charm I found in my stash and I added to my planner as well.

On the left-hand side, I did a single page spread documenting our fun day at the zoo together. I used a large number stamp, some washi, and some kit packaging to highlight my journaling.  The upper part of the page is a fun grouping of several kit elements.

I tucked in some patterned paper beneath the picture that I used a sticker and a sticker bleed on. The ticket cut-a-parts and more patterned paper rounded out this vignette. 

This was certainly a special treat for them and for me!  They loved all the spooky decorations at the zoo and I got a chance to use this spooky cute kit that I adore!!

Adeline's TN Set Up with This is Halloween

It's Adeline, I'm so excited to share this post today, I just received my "This is Halloween kit" you have to know that I love Fall and Halloween, so I'm happy!!!

"This is Halloween" kit is so BOOtiful!!!!!! Then I decorated my new prima planner TN Amélia Rose with it. Love, love, love this new set up.

First I made my notebooks' decor, I have two notebooks in my traveler, so for the first one I took my favorite kit paper sheet, love cats and witches so this "witchat" design is perfect for me.

I cut an insert the one with the witch, a modern witch with green hairs: so cute. I made a pumpkin paper clip with an ephemera, paper clip and hot glue to fix it.

I have just shown you the cover of the notebook but I also had decorated the back of it. I think it's more harmonious like that, I don't like to leave this page blank. So I took some of "This is Halloween" ephemera.

For the second notebook, I took another cat paper design, and then I cut an insert again. I added gold foil stickers, love foil!! And some scary ephemera.

Look at this spider I think she wants to eat a pumpkin!!!!!

I decided to create a paper clutch, it is useful for dragging some paper or stickers... You can see that I have created a paper clip with the flair buttons: I just glued it with hot glue on a paper clip. 

Here it is the front of the clutch...

... and this is the back.

To make this, I took a sheet of paper 12x12", I took the same dimension as the notebook for the width and I took larger for length. I folded the part of the length that exceeded and I stapled it on the side only. And then I decorated my clutch. It's very simple, isn't it?

And to finish my set up, I have decorated the inside of the TN's cover with the kit's ephemera and some embellishments that belong to me, like flowers, paper clips, wood jewel and paper lace doilies.

This kit is one of my favorite, the colors, the design I am in love with everything about it. Thank you, Andrea. I hope you enjoyed this post.
