Hello! It's Ashley, and I'm back to share another layout with you, using this month's Take Note Kit! The mix of Pinks and Blues in this Kit are perfect for fun, girly layouts. I wanted to use a photo of our oldest daughter with her youngest cousin because they are just too cute together!
The Something Wonderful patterned paper made a perfect background for my layout. I love the Teal angled lines, but the pattern doesn't overwhelm the rest of the design. I wanted to add some more movement to go along with the lines in the background, so I cut several butterflies from this month's coordinating cut files. I also drew three larger butterflies with my Silhouette Cameo Sketch Pens, and hand stitched each one in a different color embroidery floss. I arranged all of the butterflies in a diagonal design.
Once I had all of the butterflies in place, I machine stitched through the patterned paper butterflies. I like the little touch of stitching down the center of each one. I used the Puffy Word Stickers and Ephemera to create the title for my layout. I lined my title up with the lines from the background paper, to give it a fun tilt.
For the finishing touches, I scattered some of the Puffy Stickers, Stickers and Ephemera throughout the diagonal design of the butterflies. It's fun to spot different embellishments mixed in with the butterflies...kind of like an embellishment scavenger hunt!!
I'm having so much fun creating with the Take Note Kit! I'll be back next week to share one more guest designer layout with you! I hope you've been inspired so far, with some new ideas for using this month's Kit and cut files!
