Happy New Year, everyone!!! Enza here to share a new layout that is all about welcoming 2018. I really wanted to make an opening page for this year's album. I went through all the photos taken in the last few day and came across this picture of my daughter holding her brand new Instax camera. How perfect was that! I couldn't think of a better photo to start our family album with.
I mixed elements from a couple of kits: Storytime, and Jolly. I love that the kits always have pieces that coordinate with each other, no matter the theme. I started with two cut files (surprise, surprise!), that I combined to create a background for the layout. Both cut files are by Paige Evans and can be found in the Silhouette Design store (228014, 233776). I used patterned paper from the Jolly kit to back the word “Hello”, while for the numbers I went with the black and white patterened paper included in the Storytime kit.
I also decided to back the stars with more patterned paper before adhering them down. To achieve dimension, I used foam adhesive for some of the letters, as well as some of the stars. I like the movement created by the different heights of the cut files. I built several layers behind the photo and added the word “click” along the right side. The gold foiled Alpha Chipboard Stickers from the Storytime kit are so beautiful! Wooden buttons, a tag, and some word stickers brought in a fun and colorful touch to the page.
I finished the layout with enamel stars, sequins, and drops of gold Color Shine.
I hope you like how this page turned out. I love it!!!
Have a fabulous day! Thank you for stopping by!
