Sweet Memory Planner with Henny

Hello sweet friends... good morning! Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday. Today I wanted to share with you my sweet memory planner for my traveler's notebook layout  featuring "Sweet!"  Collection.

image1.jpeg

So here's another project I've done using some of my left over bits and pieces of this Sweet! Kit and made quite simple spread and layout from one of our fun journey vacation's photos.

image2.jpeg

For the backdrop paper I simply put the paper on the center between this two pages to make it look like one piece of scrapbook layout.

image3.jpeg

Here's the left side  using some pieces of the ephemeras, simple yet fun. Love using pearls embellishments in every of my projects as the final touches.

image4.jpeg

And here's the other side. Took a couple of different papers for the backdrop layers and used some of the frame stickers as well as the words stickers from the kit.

I hope my planning pages have inspired you today!

Until next time,
Henny

Week 28 with Mindi

Hello everyone! It's Mindi here with you on the blog today. I'm sad to say that this will be my last blog post as a design team member. I have really enjoyed creating with the Fairytale Club kits each month. They are so fun and full of lots of great goodies.

Let's move on to the creative sharing, shall we? That's what we are all here for. Am I right ?!!! Today I'm going to be sharing a pocket page.  This page is the other side of Week 28 that I shared in my last blog post.

FullSizeRender-4.jpg

Since this page is the right side of Week 28 I don't have a title card. I have four big photos and some smaller photos and journaling cards. This first photo is of the sunset. I added a piece from the ephemera pack on top of my journaling to add to a little bit of color to the photo.

This 3x4 filler/journaling card was my favorite from the cut apart sheet. I knew it was perfect for the little story that I added on the bottom. The colors were perfect for the page and I kept it pretty simple and only adding a few embellishments.

FullSizeRender-2.jpg

Here's a look at the other side. I used the word fun and added NO above it to talk about mowing the lawn in the 100-degree weather.

FullSizeRender.jpg

The last part of this page that I want to mention is the last journaling card and small photo. There are a bunch of wonderful patterned papers in the Sweet kit. I wanted to use one for this journaling card. I printed out some journaling onto a piece of card stock and placed it onto the patterned paper. Finishing it off with a few stickers on the bottom.

That's a wrap for me guys!! Thanks for coming out today!! My time here in The Fairytale Club has been so Sweet!!

Me & My Masked Love with Sarah

Good morning everyone! I hope your week's been going good, it's Wednesday so it's half way to the weekend!  Well, I'm here this morning to share my most recent layout using the "Sweet!" kit.

PicsArt_08-23-08.21.04.jpg

This week I played with a cut file along with my kit. The colors in this kit are so bright and fun that I decided to do white on white for my background.

I had this old picture of me and one of my daughters, it's not a great picture but cute! she had got a mask and cape to play with and she wore it all the time! So I thought I'd capture that. I chose my cut file, but before I stuck it down I wanted to add a little color,  so I pulled out my shimmerz and did a little splattering in colors that matched the papers I was planning on using.

PicsArt_08-23-08.21.46.jpg

I stuck my cut file down and started layering the beautiful bright papers behind my photo. I LOVE that two-toned triangle paper and with all the pink in the picture, I thought it went well. Since I had used the 12x12 sheet of it, I used one of my planner inserts. They are amazing for layering, I love them in my planner too but I just wanted that pattern! I added in more layers from the cut apart sheet, making a tag out of one of them and then I cut some of the tickets out of one of the 12x12 papers to add into the layers.

PicsArt_08-23-08.22.26.jpg

I pulled up my cut file and added some paper behind a few of the circles. Those cute little smiley face hearts and that beautiful bright yellow! I put my cut file back down and adhered my photo and all its layers down and added my title. I wanted a cute little title and I wanted to use more than one alpha so I grabbed one of the ephemera pieces that said me and incorporated into my title along with the other alphas.

PicsArt_08-23-08.23.19.jpg

To finish my layout I grabbed those two-toned wood hearts and added a few, along with a few of the word stickers and labels.

I loved playing with this kit! I have so much more papers to play with and my planner is so bright and pretty too! I just have to say if you haven't gotten this kit or subscribe to this kit club, you totally should! They are amazing and such great quality! And have you seen the sneaks for the newest kit?! OMG!

Well, I hope you enjoyed this layout and I can't wait to see what you make with your kit too! Make sure to join the group on Facebook and share your beautiful creating some with us!

"Take Note": Reveal and Release!!!

Hello there everyone! It is Andrea here and today I want to share with you the full reveal and release of our newest kit, "Take Note"!!! It is my favorite kit so far!  Of course, I feel that way with each kit...lol! Each of our kits is really a collection that is exclusive, one of a kind, and all specially designed for you, by me! I decided to go with a charming and oh so pretty, "enchanted forest" meets "papercrafter" kind of look. Overall, I would say the collection is perfect for every girl out there who loves fairytales and being creative! And you can purchase it right now, right here!

There are cute animals like deer and kitties...even a chipmunk and some butterflies! And there are beautiful florals too! All the flora and fauna evokes the "enchanted forest" feel. The little notes and ledger paper and words like "noted" and "document" and such, evoke the "take note" concept that the collection is named for! This, along with a "hand drawn" style that can be found in the collection (in things like the little drawn hearts and ampersands) PLUS symbols like the cute little pencil and the camera...and along with things that say "i heart arts and crafts" and "creativity" and "princess of papercrafting" -- all work together to create that "papercrafter" feel.

As you know, each of our kits/collections are inspired by fairytales! "Take Note" is no exception! It too is inspired by some of my fave fairytales...specifically Disney ones! This time, I was inspired by the following Disney fairytales and fairytale characters: Enchanted - Giselle, Aristocats - Marie, Bambi - Bambi, and 101 Dalmations - Perdita ! In fact, a lot of the patterned papers in "Take Note" are named after these characters!

Let's take a look at the patterned paper in "Take Note". I am so loving all the papers in this collection! As you can see, the color scheme for the collection is lots of pinks and greens and blues! So lovely!

There are lots of great, graphic patterns that are super versatile and work with whatever theme you have in mind to document or plan with!  I am particularly loving the "Take Note" paper with the little triangles on one side and the cool pink on pink chevron pattern on the other side. And the plus signs paper with the simple polka dot on the back, called "Perdita", is so great to use for so many different things...I can't wait to start making with it!

4 - Perdita.jpg

I also really love the sweet little deer patterned paper. It is called "Bambi" for obvious reasons! And it is definitely a favorite! So cute!!!

1 - Bambi.jpg

There are some really lovely papers in the collection that just make me smile with how pretty they are...like the super pretty floral pattern named "So Enchanting" and the uber cute bow pattern called "Marie"! "So Enchanting" has a fabulous pink ledger on the back too and I don't know about you, but I always love a good ledger paper!

2 - So Enchanting.jpg
5 - Marie.jpg

And there is a cool paper called "Giselle" that has a pretty mint pattern on one side, and a pencil drawn looking heart on the other side.

7 - Giselle.jpg

Finally, there is "Something Wonderful", which is aptly named...it is such a fabulous geometric pattern. It has a kind of southwestern style to it (which is a look that is very in for fall)!

3 - Something Wonderful.jpg

Like all our collections, in addition to the regular patterned papers, we also have cut-apart sheets. I love our cut-apart sheets! Especially these ones! "Hopeless Romantic" has some awesome 4x6 decorative pocket cards. I particularly love the one that says "this way to happily ever after" on it, with a cute little castle! And the other cut-apart sheet, called "Make Believe", is super duper cute too! It has some super useful ledger and label pieces on it. And the 3x4 cards on there are my fave...like the little blue doe and the "princess of papercrafting" card!

8 - Make Believe.jpg

Now let's take a look at the embellishments in the collection!  There is a surprise with our collection/kit this time! With this new "Take Note" collection, we are adding in another embellishment! This meant that we had to do a few less patterned papers (to even things out and make sure your kit cost didn't go up...that is why there are nine sheets of paper this time instead of twelve). So as you will see, instead of our usual four embellishments in the kit...there is five this time!!! Yaaaay!

The first embellishment I want to talk to you about is our ephemera! We do ephemera with every kit, and "Take Note" is no different! With this ephemera pack, there is even more bang for your buck as this pack is jam-packed with ephemera peices!!! More than ever before!!! I particularly love the little deer! The little butterflies, the lovely watercolored flowers, and all the gold foiled pieces are favorites of mine as well!

Now, let's talk about our puffy word letters! I love these! They are so cute and they come in so many great colors! And they just look so great on a layout or a planner page!

Puffy Word Stickers-01.jpg

And of course, we did our label stickers and tiny word stickers. They are a little bit different this time, but just as useful, versatile, and cute!

label stickers.jpg

For something fun and new, we decided to do epoxy stickers for "Take Note". We always like to give our club members a fun dimensional embellie to play with in our kits, and so this time, we thought these epoxy stickers would be perfect to add some depth to your projects! I particularly love the gold foiled half-and-half squares! The hearts are super cute and useful too though, and also a fave!

epoxy stickers.jpg

And for our fifth and "extra" embellishment, we wanted to try something new that we are hoping will become another one of our "staple" embellishments in kits to come -- decorative stickers! Not puffy or anything...just regular, but oh so adorable stickers! I know a lot of you have been wanting stickers like these, and I am happy to say that they are here for "Take Note"! I particularly love the little pencil, the blue deer, and especially the awesome square stickers that say things like "so very enchanting" and "happily ever after". These stickers are perfect for so many papercrafting projects, especially planning!

And speaking of planning, let's finish things off here by talking about the adorable planner dividers that come in the "Take Note" collection!

I love the dividers for "Take Note"! The deer is a fave, and so is the "everyday life" divider with the castle on it! That one makes me smile! Everyday life...living your life as a fairytale, that is!

The definition of creativity one is so awesome and so is the really fabulous "planning, scrapbooking, papercrafting..." script one!

10-Take-Note-A5.jpg
08-Take-Note-A5.jpg

The "take note" script one on the blue geometric pattern is cute and so is the cool pencil one that is drawing and also happens to say "take note" on it!

06-Take-Note-A5.jpg
07-Take-Note-A5.jpg

The camera one is definitely another favorite of mine! I love the way that camera looks...both vintage and hand-drawn!

02-Take-Note-A5.jpg
05-Take-Note-A5.jpg

And the little kitty that says "cute and sweet" with the scallops, along with the grouping of bows one that says "pretty" -- well those are two of the cutest and girly-est ones for sure!

18-Take-Note-A5.jpg

The big bow is eye-catching and so is the big rose! Both are perfect, I think, to make really beautiful dashboards out of!

09-Take-Note-A5.jpg
03-Take-Note-A5.jpg

And the "love" divider and the "you and me" one are super romantic!

04-Take-Note-A5.jpg
15-Take-Note-A5.jpg

As with our last set of planner dividers, I decided to also include a ledger page to write notes and things on.

14-Take-Note-A5.jpg

And again, we decided to go ahead and include actual planner calendar pages in with our planner kit...so you get a full month "overview" two-page spread...as well as several weekday pages, so that you can plan out your days in more detail!

Our 2017-2018 Design Team!

We're so excited to announce our design team today! We're so grateful to everyone who applied. We got so many amazing applications and it was a very tough choice. You've seen some posts from a few of them already but we'd like to introduce the whole group:

Andrea

Hi! My name is Andrea Bethke, and I am a scrappy Latina living in sunny Southern California who believes in unicorns and mermaids and all things magical.  In fact, I believe in fairytales, and you may know me as Fairytale Scrapbook on Instagram and Youtube! I am married to a super amazing, Prince Charming of a hubby named Ryan, and we live in a little house with a sweet Chihuahua-Terrier named Leeloo.

I love, love, love to create! It is incredibly important to me not just because I find it fun but because it literally helps me get through the day. In fact, you may not know this, but I have a rare condition called CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome) which causes me to constantly be in pain...and often it's really, really bad or even excruciating pain. There is no cure and because of it I struggle with limited mobility, and I'm often stuck in bed. I get through it all with the help of my God, the truest of true love of my husband, and a whole lot of scrapbooking! Yes, I looooove scrapbooking. To me, it is not just a hobby, but something that has helped me work through the pain.

My motto is to live your life as a fairytale, which to me means that I want to live my life with courage and imagination and much love, the way they do in fairytales! I accomplish this by writing my own story with my own happily ever after!

My love of fairytales has not only had an impact on my motto but also on my scrappy style! I love the look of whimsical and beautiful things in scrapbooking. I am definitely very girly and I also love vintage things. I am very inspired by Disney, especially vintage Disney.

I am super duper excited to have started this new journey with The Fairytale Club!  It has been my dream for a long time to design my own scrapbook and planner collections, and I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to start my own company! I hope you will join me in being part of the club! I know it's going to be a wonderful fairytale adventure!

So now you know a lot about me... and in closing I just want to encourage you to live your life as a fairytale because I think we all have the opportunity to be the heroine of our own story and write our own happily ever afters!

Adeline

I'm Adeline French, 33 years old, mum of two pirates and married to my charming Prince. My life is full of boy things so my wonderland world is pink and glitter!!! I love shopping and Disneyland. I discovered scrap and planner world in 2015 and now it is an addiction. When I play with my planner I forget everything it's my own time like I am in other world. What I love is watching Disney films during my planner time.

Allie

My name is Allie, and I'm a Chiropractic Assistant living in a suburb of Portland, Oregon. I've been married to the man of my dreams, Michael, for five wonderful years. We love Disney, Star Wars, and Doctor Who! I've been scrapbooking since 2006, when I got a job at a paper store as a high schooler. It's been true love ever since! If I'm not scrapbooking, you'd find me reading a good book, drinking coffee, or singing at the top of my lungs to Disney music. I'm excited to join the Fairy Tale club team!

Carolee

Hi there! I'm Carolee. I'm a full time crafter and blogger originally from the east coast but now living in sunny LA with my hubby and two corgis. I come from a long line of crafty ladies, but I first got into Project Life back in 2013 and since then, my obsession's only grown! Right now, I focus mainly on planners and traveler's notebooks, but I dabble in just about everything. I also love Disney (including Marvel and Star Wars), animals but especially unicorns,

Enza

I was born and raised in Italy but moved to the U.S. almost thirteen years ago to be with the love of my life. I am passionate about photography and all forms of memory keeping. Scrapbooking was non-existent for me growing up and only started being my creative outlet in 2008. My style has definitely changed over the years, becoming more detailed and colorful, while still being clean and simple. I enjoy working for Design Teams and always love a good challenge when it comes to my creativity. Spending time with my husband and three kids is my absolute favorite.

Henny

My name is Henny. I'm 35 years young and I'm a stay at home mom to my 2 little kids. I'm originally from Indonesia, came to the States in the year of 2006. I was introduced to the scrapbooking world by my husband at 2007, and I'm hooked ever since. But I have always been loving doing crafts since I was a  little kid 😊. I have always put my time, care and effort into everything I do when it comes to creativity/crafting. Aside from planning, I also do enjoy doing scrapbooking, Card-making, DIY projects, etc.

Kim

Kim is a 41year old mother to 4 sporty, smelly and sweet boys ranging in the ages of 5 to 17 and lucky enough to be married to my favorite person in the world who lets her be a stay at home mom.  When not doing laundry,  this ex-fiber arts teacher loves memory keeping by scrapbook and pocket pages and to creatively plan to make sure she don't routinely forget someone at some sports practice!  Don't let all that household testosterone fool you, this bubbly ex-pageant girl knows her sparkle and sass which you'll find sprinkled throughout her projects!

Odessa

Hi, I'm Odessa and I love all things colourful, fun and sparkly! I obsessively take photos and got into memory keeping as a way to get all those pictures of my family, our fun adventures and too many cups of coffee off my phone and into an album. I like getting messy and playing with colour and composition. My albums are 80% pink even though I have 2 boys because that's how I roll. When I'm not working on my pocket page album I'm busy trying to achieve perfect mermaid coloured hair, adventuring with my family, napping or knitting - I co-own a yarn store so being creative is basically my life!

Sarah

My name is Sarah, I'm a wife and mother to 6 goofy littles. We have 3 fur babies, 2 cats and a pup. I love to scrapbook, do DIY and be outdoors with my kiddos. I grew up in Alaska and have lived in all the A state's besides Arizona.

Teresa

Hello! I'm Teresa and here's a little about me! I love beautiful photography and far off places, I love things that are girlie and magical, I love the color pink and eating sweets. I'm very much a dreamer. I adore things that are packaged pretty, I will go out of my way to buy something if it's packaged pretty, it's my Achilles heel. I would call my crafting style a "beautiful mess" it's never perfect, it can be sometimes messy and a little busy, but that's what I find beautiful about it! I created this "Beautiful Mess". I'm also a mommy of two crazy, beautiful girls. We live a military life thanks to the hubby! And currently living in Hawaii.

Tiffany

Tiffany Julia is an artist of many trades living in New York City with an absolute passion for documenting her everyday life. A traveller to the core, she loves documenting her various journeys around the world in thick handmade travel journals and fun mini books. While she's not traversing the globe, she enjoys documenting the everyday in her memory planners and experimenting with mixed media in her art journals. You can always find her creating new things in her spare time. She just loves papercrafting!

We're so proud of and excited for this new design team and we hope you are too! Look forward to posts from all of them in the future!
