Hello there everyone! I am so very excited today to share with you the full reveal of our newest collection, "My Magical World"! And this collection is exactly what it sounds like -- completely and utterly magical!!! I was originally inspired by the movie "Star Girl" on Disney+ with singer/actress Grace VanderWaal. The movie, if you haven't seen it yet, is all about being yourself, being one of a kind, and living in a world where you see the magic in the everyday and inspiring others around you to do the same...and it is also about a girl who is special and creative and loves to sing and be positive and to make pretty things...yes, she loves to be crafty, how cool is that?! The reason I love the movie, I think, is because, honestly, it kinda reminds me of myself and the unique and positive and creative person that I am, or at least try to be, and how I have tried to inspire that in others as well -- specifically through my small papercrafting business and this magical community I have built over the last few years with The Fairytale Club! Subsequently, this collection, "My Magical World," may have started out being inspired by a Disney movie (not unlike several whimsical collections here at The Fairytale Club), but as I was designing it, it really became an homage to my own magical world that I have created with the help of my awesome hubby Ryan and all of you guys!!! This collection is very much inspired by The Fairytale Club itself! It is all about papercrafting, and being creative, hanging out with your crafty friends, being yourself and being positive, and doing so in the midst of a truly magical world of whimsy and fairytale - one filled with castles and unicorns and rainbows and the color pink! Lol!!! This collection is basically the epitome of what it means to be a Fairytale Club girl, and I hope you love it as much as I do! It is definitely my favorite collection to date and it will always be very special to me! It was a long hard road to create "My Magical World" for you all, working through some serious CRPS pain over here at Casa de Fairytale, but this collection is definitely a complete "work of heart," and I can't wait for you all to see it and start making with it! So let's get started and check it out!!!
First, let’s take a look at the amazing patterned paper in this collection. I wanted "My Magical World" to feel very happy and super cute and magical, so I went with a color scheme that was very vibrant and included lots of different colors of the rainbow -- so there is yellow and orange and red and aqua and blues and greens and a whole lot of PINK! Really, I wanted there to be lots of beautiful pinks in this collection so it would have that girly, whimsical, quintessential Fairytale Club vibe for sure!!! And the patterns in this collection are so adorable and vintage-inspired and crafting-inspired and fairytale-inspired and just completely chock full of so many of my favorite things...in fact, there is even a paper called "A Few of My Favorite Things" in this collection! Let's take a closer look at each paper, shall we?
The first paper here is called "My Own Happily Ever After", and it is a really beautiful and bright blue pattern with the cute, vintage-illustration-style castles all over it. And on the back is one of my fave patterns -- a really pretty, pink unicorn surrounded by sweet florals and butterflies.
The next paper, "Crafty Friends", is one of my favorites, and it has a mix of beautiful crafty ladies who are from various ethnic backgrounds. They exemplify the super talented, creative, and diverse women in our awesome papercrafting community! Love the vintage style of the ladies and this pattern -- it is adorable, and the retro 60's vibe makes me so happy!!! On the back of the paper is a cute pink on pink scissors pattern.
This next paper is called "A Few of My Favorite Things," and it has lots of my favorite things on it (and I'm sure lots of your faves, too, since it is representative of the kinds of things that a quintessential Fairytale Club girl loves). These things include important papercrafting goodies like scissors and glue and washi, your camera for taking pics for your scrapbook or of your creations, a record player (representing the music you like to listen to while you craft), your pretty, pink, pet unicorn, and your crown, of course...lol!!! On the back of the paper is a really cute and vintage style record pattern.
The next paper is called "Scrap Happy" and it is filled with beautiful, mutli-colored pennants. These pennants are so cute and happy! And they say words like "special", "fairytale", "dream", "craft", and more. They definitely give off a cheerful vibe that I refer to as the "scrap happy" feeling -- hence the name! And on the back is a super pretty little pink floral.
Here we have a paper called "My Magical World", just like the collection, and just like the collection as a whole, this paper is super magical! On the front we have one of our gorgeous collage patterns -- a style that has become a special mainstay of our various collections. This one is themed to this collection so it has lots of the imagery that you will find throughout "My Magical World" -- such as some of our crafty girls from the collection, crafty goodies like scissors and washi, a record player, a unicorn, a fabulous castle, and more! On the back of the paper is a cute multi colored cherry pattern that feels very vintage and fun.
Next we have "Friendship is Magic," which has so many cute, crafty girls all over it! I love this paper! It is pink and feels so happy with all the crafty ladies in their pretty outfits, all heading out to papercraft together. As you can see, some of them are carrying bags of crafty goodies to their magical crop get-together. I know right now a lot of our crops have to be virtual, but they are def still magical and this is a fun paper to document those special crafting sessions with your fellow crafty ladies! And on the back we have a cool, retro, yellow and pink pattern.
This next paper is named "Welcome to Fairytale Craft Land," and on the front is a really splendid and enchanting village complete with a magic castle, a beautiful pond with a swan, a park, lots of lovely little houses, a cute unicorn, a deer, a puppy, a rainbow, my crafty friends, and a couple of other familiar faces...can you guess who?!...lol! This is definitely one of my favorite papers that I have ever designed, and I love it so much! I hope you love it, too! And on the other side of the patterned paper is a sweet and lovely floral that I love too!
Finally, let’s check out the cut-apart sheets that come in the collection. First, we have a cut-apart sheet called "Be Yourself," which is amazing and includes fun 3x4 cards that say things like "Be Yourself" and "Be Original" and "Be Unique" and feature various crafty girls, and also cute 2x2 pieces that have fun images like a crown and a record and a daisy on them. I also really love the piece that gives the definition for "papercrafting". Definitely read it, it’s super cute! And on the back is a fun and versatile, vintage, pink and blue, geometric pattern.
And the second cut-apart sheet is called "Live Your Life as a Fairytale," which, as you know, is the motto for The Fairytale Club. On the front is a whole lot of gorgeous goodies, including tickets, labels, vintage-looking cards, and a really pretty banner piece that says "live your life as a fairytale" on it. And on the back is a really pretty multi-colored heart pattern. I absolutely love this page, and I definitely recommend getting two sheets of this (and of all the cut-apart sheets, really, lol!)!
And now that we have looked at the 12x12 patterned papers in "My Magical World," let's take a look at the embellishments that are in the collection. First, let's look at my personal fave, the ephemera pack. Our ephemera packs are always super popular and this one I am sure will be no different. I love this pack! It is filled with gorgeous, die-cut pieces! Some of my faves are the magical castle, of course, the lovely crafty ladies, the versatile hearts, the vintage camera, the cute crafty supplies, and the pretty pennants!
Now, let’s look at the acrylic embellishment pack that comes in the collection. These have become quite popular here at The Fairytale Club, as well, and you can see why! They are so fun and beautiful! I especially love this pack which includes a vibrant and bright, happy pink, as well as a super magical and fabulous iridescent color! And there are words like "crafty girl" and "magic" as well as a bunch of hearts and stars. Yay!!!
Next, let’s check out the flair buttons that come in "My Magical World." I absolutely love these! They are so fun to use just "as is" as cool embellishments that add more depth to your layout, memory dex card, or other project. However, my favorite thing to do with them is always to add them to paperclips and make cool decorative paperclips out of them! Love all the flair buttons in this pack, but my faves are definitely the little rainbow, the fairytale ears, the magic pennant, and the cute pink scissors.
And now let’s look at the variety pack, which is also definitely a favorite of mine! Love this pack! The variety packs, for those who don't know, are similar to the ephemera packs in that they also include die-cut pieces (although they are always different from the ones included in the ephemera pack), and in addition to some fun cardstock die-cut pieces, there are always other goodies in the pack too. This time we have included some silver metallic foil pieces as well as some little glassine pockets that are perfect for putting your little tags in that come in the pack. My faves in the pack include the cute floral tag, the cute strawberry tag, the glassine pockets, the silver foiled polaroid of the castle, the silver foiled words, the letters that spell out "wonderful" and the cute little houses!
Finally, for the last of our embellishments, we have the sticker set that comes in the collection. This sticker sheet has so many great words and phrases on it! I love the "My Magical World" stickers of course, but I also really love all of the pretty script words and phrases that have the fun, painted, color backgrounds that sort of highlight them. These are so cool -- and include stickers that say things like "creative", "hey girl, hey", "crafty princess", and "I make my own magic".
Oh, and I also want to share with you our specialty paper with sequin set, which comes in the collection. The name of the specialty paper is "My Enchanted Castle" and on the front is an amazing vintage style castle painting that I did that was inspired by some Cinderella concept art by Mary Blair. I wanted to create that kind of vintage 50's, 60's fairytale illustration look, and I think it works! On the back is a lovely rose floral. And included with this specialty paper is the most beautiful mix of sequins! I know you are going to love them! The mix includes some silver stars, lots of pink and iridescent sequins, some flowers, some hearts, some pretty blues and a dash of yellow and more...so dreamy and magical and lovely!!!
Next, let's take a look at the "planner pages" that come in the collection. These come in either an A5 (6” x 8 1/4”) size or a personal (4 1/8” x 7 3/16”) size. These, of course, can be used as traditional planner pages, but also as decorative mini album pages, framed art pieces, and more. The planner pages in this collection are gorgeous and I am so excited for you to get your hands on them and start playing!
The first planner page I want to look at is this one here that says "Wonderful" on it, in the cutest way possible! I love that each letter is different and special! And on the back we have a cool quote in pink that is all about being a dreamer and creating beautiful and impossible things!
The next planner page is one of my favorite things ever! I wanted to make a couple planner pages that actually look like vintage pages that have been ripped directly out of an old children's fairytale book. They have this cool 50's, 60's illustration feel. And so this first one has our beautiful Mary Blair-inspired castle on it, with a cute little bit of story written underneath it. And then on the back, there is a very bold, vintage style illustration that says "you are beautiful" on it.
And here we have our second, really cool, children's book illustration page which says "magical friends" on it and includes our crafty girls and a cute little excerpt of a story I wrote about them getting together to craft! Yaaaaay! And on the back is a really cute decorative page that says "I like to make cute stuff" and has lots of cute crafty supplies on it!
Next is a planner page that has a cool and inspirational quote about being yourself and standing out! And on the back it says, "Be who you want to be," on it and has that fun retro, mid-century modern feel.
Next we have a cute planner page which says "My Magical World" on it. I love this one! It is perfect for the start of a mini album or for your planner. On the other side is a magical, blue, calendar page that has a pretty castle, a unicorn, and a rainbow on it. So fun!
The last planner page I want to look at is a sweet retro record player that says "I love music" on it, and is actually based on my own vintage style record player. And on the back is a pretty pink unicorn decorative page that says "I am special". How cute is that?!!! Love it!
The "scrapbook" kit and the "happily ever after" kit both come with the first 9 double sided patterned papers that I showed earlier in this blog post. However, for this collection, we also decided to do a set of additional "add on" papers that are super cute as well! There is a set of 6 double sided add on papers that I just think you are going to love and want as well!
The first add on paper is called "Craft Magic" and it is a really cool, patterned paper filled with various images of cute, papercrafting supplies. I love this pattern! You could fussy cut these pieces out or choose to use the pattern as a whole. Love that all the supplies are labeled, too! And on the other side of the 12x12 paper is a great, soft, and subtle, pretty, painted paper filled with lovely yellows and blues.
Next is "The Rainbow Connection," and it is a happy rainbow pattern with various different rainbows on it, as well as a little, rainy cloud. I like this paper because it reminds us that even the rain brings glorious rainbows! So, magic is waiting for us all after those dark and stormy clouds! On the back is a cute, orange and pink, retro pattern that has a fun, mid-century modern vibe.
This next paper is called "Magic...In Alphabetical Order," and it has an incredible alphabet all across it, which can be fussy cut or left as is. I love the little images between the letters, like the little lady bug, the scissors, the teacup, the crown, the strawberry, etc. On the back is a really beautiful strawberry and daisy pattern that I just love!
And next is "Once Upon a Time...The Fairytale Club." This is probably a phrase that many of you remember, as we use to write it across all of our boxes that we sent out! Now, instead, on the front of your packages are a beautiful pink patterned logo with my name on it and various quintessential images of The Fairytale Club (such as a Cinderella castle, roses, ribbon bows, hearts, stars, my puppy, Alice's teacup, etc). Ever since we created this new logo sticker, I knew I had to make a patterned paper out of it too! Mostly because I wanted to use it, lol! If you are a Fairytale Club girl, you will absolutely love and need this paper! It even says "T.F.C", on it -- for The Fairytale Club! Yaaaaay!!! Oh, and on the back is a pretty and versatile ledger paper that says "magic" on it, which I also love! (I’ve swapped the front and back in this image, because otherwise it was hard to tell what the ledger side actually was.)
This next paper is called "Making Magic," and it has a multi-colored fairytale ear pattern on it. I love how colorful this pattern is, and I kinda want to eat it cuz it looks like gummy candies every time I look at it...lol! And on the back is a really cute pink on pink polka dot.
And finally, for this add on paper set, we have a cut-apart sheet named "I am Unique, Creative, Magical," and it has lots of great pieces to cut out. I especially love the polaroids and the film pieces, but I also love the library cards! And on the back is a really happy multi-colored rainbow stripe, which I can't wait to use!
And now, as another awesome add on to this collection, we also have a really cool mini album that I am super excited about! Mini albums are a newer thing that we have been doing lately, and I absolutely love them! This one has a clear acrylic front cover with a wooden back cover that is painted bright pink with a fun corner of yellow!
