"Happy Day" Full Reveal!

Hello there to all our Fairytale Club peeps! It's Andrea here, and I wanted to share with you all the full reveal of our newest kit, "Happy Day"!  Yaaaay!!!! Wow, I have been wanting so bad to share this full reveal with all of you for so long, and I am so glad that day is finally here! I know that those of you who are subscribers did already get this kit and have seen it in full and I am so glad to hear from some of you already that you are loving playing with it! We did actually send it out around a couple weeks ago to subscribers, and we revealed it in person at Planner Con in San Francisco and sold it to some very lucky ladies while we were there last weekend. But with everything that has been going on recently, I just haven't had a chance to do this reveal post before now and officially put it up for purchase on our website...I am sorry for that...but the wait is over! Those of you who aren't subscribed, and weren't able to join us at Planner Con, can now see the super duper adorable-ness that is "Happy Day" and purchase it now, too! And I really think it will make you super happy! Let's now go through all of "Happy Day," and you can see why it is already a big hit with our subscribers and those who got it in San Francisco!

Alright, so first of all...how pretty is "Happy Day"?! I just love it so much!!!! Now, I know I do tend to say that a lot, but I just mean it a lot! This kit is so very sweet and filled with such a happy feeling! It has got this really amazing vintage-retro vibe to it, too, which just makes me smile! The colors of the kit are so very happy as you can see! There are a few lovely shades of pink (are you surprised?...I think not...I think we all know by now how I feel about pink), and there is mint and dark teal, a couple different shades of lavender, and also a nice pop of red for some drama!...oooooh!...plus some classic black and white and a little bit of gray in there too. All together, I just love the color scheme for "Happy Day"! It has a fun fresh vibe, while still feeling very nostalgic!

As you know, all of our kits/collections are inspired by fairytales and of course, "Happy Day" is no different! For this one, I was inspired by a few different things that are just making me happy right now and have been on my mind lately. I was particularly inspired by Minnie Mouse and specifically her house in Toon Town! I kind of think of the collection as a whole as just being filled with all the things you would find at her house...her decor, her love of pink and hearts and butterflies, her kitty cat, her big pink phone, etc. The little houses remind me of her house, but I was also a little inspired by the house in the movie "Up" as well, just in that I wanted a bit more of a Victorian look. You can also find a few other fairytale references in the kit, like the pattern "abstract thought," which refers to Inside Out, and a little pink fox that was inspired by Fox and the Hound.  And then there are also quite a few things that are reminiscent of Disneyland in the 1950's and 60's. I recently went to "Throwback Night" at Disneyland, which is kinda like Dapper Day, where everyone gets dressed up in vintage attire...and there was vintage music and lots of vintage photo booths, including an old malt shop setup with milkshakes, and I was definitely inspired by all of that as well!

Some of the fun icons and images you can find in "Happy Day" include cute little houses, beautiful flowers, a little kitty, a fun little fox, some pretty butterflies, a cool retro pink phone, a yummy milkshake, and a really lovely girl! Okay, now let's go ahead and check out the 12x12 patterned paper in the kit.

There are so many gorgeous patterns in this collection! One of my favorites is this cool geometric one called "Abstract Thought"! It is inspired by the scene in Inside Out where the characters are flattened down into shapes and colors. I love it because it also has this great retro 60's feel to it too and it incorporates pretty much all the colors in the "Happy Day" color scheme.

I also really, really love this awesome floral that we did for this collection - "Call Me Flower." It is big and bold and the stripes behind it help to give it a lovely vintage feeling.  All the beautiful flowers also really remind me of Springtime...which is quickly approaching! The adorable and super versatile pink and red polka dot on the back is also a favorite of mine and definitely has both a vintage feel and makes me think of Minnie Mouse!

02 - Happy Day - Call Me Flower.jpg

This next pattern, "Home is Where the Heart is," is really fun! The houses are way cute all lined up in a row! They are inspired by Minnie's house and they remind me of a perfect little neighborhood that I would so love to live in! The plaid on the back is so in right now, too! I love it!

This next pattern, "Happy Day," may be my absolute favorite in the collection! It is really fabulous! It feels very modern and fresh but also kinda 60's vintage. It just makes me smile! I so love the beautiful butterflies on the back as well! They are so pretty!

This sweet little heart pattern, called "Friends Forever," is so great! It definitely gives me Minnie vibes, and I think it would be so great to use as a whole or to fussy cut apart, as well, so you can use the individual hearts as embellishments, too! And the hounds-tooth on the back is a favorite of mine and very in right now!

This next pattern, "Ticket to Imagination," is really, really perfect to fussy-cut! I love tickets! And you can cut the tickets in strips horizontally so as to use one whole strip of color or vertically so that you can get a multi-color look. You could also cut out the tickets individually. This paper is just so useful and awesome!

Featured on this pattern, "On Hold, Hold On," the little vintage phone in the collection is one of my favorite icons! It is so cute and girly! It reminds me of Minnie's phone! I have always wanted a vintage phone like this! The black and white pattern on the back is also amazing and will work for so many different projects!

The cut-apart sheets in the "Happy Day" collection are beautiful! This first one is appropriately called "Sweet Things."  I love the cut-apart sheets in all the kits/collections we do because they are just so useful. The 2x2 and 3x4 cards are perfect for pocket pages especially!

Here is the second cut-apart sheet in the collection, "Love." I super duper love the 3x4's and 4x6's in this one! Especially that super sweet and adorable kitty cat! The "love" 4x6 is definitely a favorite, too! And the pattern on the back is so kitschy-cute and vintage with the little heart cherries! It's another favorite pattern of mine for sure!

Alright, now let's talk about the embellishments that come in "Happy Day". There are lots of great ones, but I think you can guess which one is my fave...the ephemera pack of course! We always do an ephemera pack with our kits because they are just so useful and beautiful and fun to play with! Plus...everyone loves them! And you can see why...they are just too cute for words! I love all the pieces, but I have to point out some of my favorites, of course! I am really in love with that kitty, and the phone, but also really adore the bingo card and the girl cameo and the little pink card with the butterflies on it...also the lovely flowers and hearts and butterflies...ok, I may have named almost everything...lol!

Another awesome embellishment in this collection is the gold-foil sticker pack! I love the gold! It is so bright and shiny and happy! The gold script words like "happy day" and "love" and "princess" and "prince" are favorites of mine and so is the adorable little gold house!

Our flair buttons are another really fabulous embellishment in our kits! We have done them before and they are definitely one of my fave things to play with! I love using them in particular to make cute little decorative paperclips, but they also work great just directly on your projects like sweet little buttons! And I think the little pink one that says "sweet" on it is my favorite!

Washi tape!!! We have never done washi tape before and I am so excited that with the "Happy Day" kit/collection, we are doing washi tape for the first time! I love these washi tape strips! They are absolutely gorgeous! I think the butterflies washi tape is my fave...but also the one that says "happy day" across it and also the one that actually has the days of the week typed out on it!

And now, let's take a look at all the fantastic and super cute planner pages that are in "Happy Day". These are some of my favorite planner dividers that we have had in any kit! I love all the pink and just how really happy and vintage and whimsical everything is!

This planner divider is a favorite of mine! The three hearts on the ledger are super cute and so is the lovely vintage mint polka dot on the back!

I love the quote on this planner divider, "I'll be your princess if you'll be my prince!" So magical!

2.jpg

The vintage milkshake image in the kit is also one of my favorites, so of course I love this planner divider with the big strawberry milkshake on it! It has a cherry on top so it is fitting that the little heart cherry print is the one on the back of the page.

The house divider with the quote "Home is where the heart is" is another favorite of mine! Love that great pink house with the heart window on top!

The vintage pink telephone planner divider that says "ring, ring, ring" is so cute! And it really makes me want to chat on the phone.

5.jpg

Here is our beautiful butterfly planner divider...and it makes me smile so much when I look at it! It is so pretty!

This planner page that says "every once in a while, in the middle of our everyday lives, when least expected, love shows up to grant us the fairytale" is so pretty with the teal and the little hearts! I love this quote! It is so true by the way!

The floral planner pages in "Happy Day" are two of my favorites! They are so beautiful and girly and very happy! Love this big, bold red rose on the polka dots!

And here is a lovely pink petunia! Love this one, too! It is pink...the pattern is my fave...and the word "petunia" is fun...enough said!

I love this little pink fox planner divider! The fox is on top of a hounds-tooth background pattern and I think it perfectly conveys the Fox and the Hounds-tooth...I mean Fox and the Hound...inspiration! Hahaha...that is a wee bit punny! Get it?! Punny!!!!

My cute pink kitty graphic is one of my favorites, as I said before...so it makes sense that this lavender and mint planner divider with the adorable pink kitty on it is a big favorite of mine, too! Can't wait to make it into a decorative dashboard in my planner!

And this planner page is probably my absolute favorite! The pretty vintage girl with the butterfly in her flowing mint hair is just so fabulous!

And I almost forgot about our transparency for "Happy Day", called "Happiness"...and it is so awesomely cute! Okay, in truth I didn't forget about it, because how could I?! I just saved the best for last! This is my favorite transparency that we have done so far for any of the collections and it is so graphic and fun and just so perfect to use for so many different things! I am particularly excited to put this one in my planner!

Alright, so that is our full reveal of our newest kit/collection called "Happy Day"! I hope you love it as much as I do! Everyday Wishes Kit Full Reveal!

Hello there everyone! It is Andrea here and today I am going to share with you the full reveal of our next and newest kit – “Everyday Wishes”!!! Yaaay! I know many of you have been patiently waiting for this full reveal, and I thank you for that. I'm so excited to share with you this very special collection which is all about dreams and wishes coming true! As many of you know, I have really been having an extremely difficult time lately with my health. I've been in a lot of pain and very sad, if I'm completely honest...but I am and always will be the girl who believes in fairytales and dreams coming true and wishes on stars and happily ever afters...and so, I made this collection as a way to get through a very difficult time in my life and look forward with hope to a bright and beautiful tomorrow! For this reason, this collection is so important to me and has so much meaning behind it. And I hope that it will have a lot of meaning for you, too. I don't think I'm alone in feeling like this year has been difficult. 2017 has been tough for many of us for various reasons. So I think it is the perfect time to have something that reminds us to focus on our wishes and dreams and look to the potential and possibility for the future and 2018, specifically. So that is how this new collection, with lots of dreamy, happy, and hopeful fairytale imagery like unicorns and rainbows, and which has lots of inspirational quotes in it to help you remember to “keep on believing”, came about. I hope you will enjoy it and feel what I felt in making it – a renewed sense of wonder!

November 2017 - Everything Kit Block with title overlay.jpg

So let's take a look at this fantastical and wondrous new collection, “Everyday Wishes”. First, I want to talk to you about the color scheme and also some of the fairytale influences that inspired me to make this wishful, dreamy collection. As you may have already guessed by the name, the collection is heavily inspired by Disney Dreams and Wishes and specifically movies that particularly evoke that theme – such as Pinnochio and Cinderella. Both movies have iconic songs in them about wishing and dreaming – “When you wish upon a star” and “A dream is a wish your heart makes”. And both movies are quintessential Disney classics. Because they are classic Disney movies, the color schemes in them are very classic. And I wanted this collection to have a classic and romantic feel to it. For this reason, I used a light blue that evoked both the classic color of the “blue fairy” in Pinnochio, and Cinderella's beautiful ball gown! I also wanted the collection to feel particularly girly, so I wanted there to be light pink and light lavender in the collection as well. There is also some pale yellow in the collection and some teal. Overall, the color scheme for this kit is like one beautiful pastel rainbow! A rainbow, by the way is another image you will find throughout the collection and we will talk a bit more about that later.

Because of the theme of “Everyday Wishes”, I wanted there to be lots of magic in the kit, but by incorporating also the everyday...to show that even in everyday life, there is magic and the hope for dreams coming true. For this reason, in “Everyday Wishes”, you will find unicorns, but also frozen yogurt, rainbows but also umbrellas for those rainy days that seem perhaps less than magical or hopeful, and of course, lots of stars and moons to wish upon for those who dream of being a princess in a magical castle (a dream, I think no one is ever to old for). And yes, the princess and castle can be found in the collection as well!

Alright, lets go ahead and start looking at the particular goodies in this collection/kit! I want to talk to you about the beautiful pattern papers in this kit. They are so lovely and so happy and versatile too! The papers in this kit feel like a walk inside a rainbow itself...in a magical land of make believe where anything can happen! The patterns also feel modern and fun and perfect for you no matter what your dreams are or what age you are. Its definitely cute for little girls, but perfect for us big girls as well!

The lovely and oh so cool pink on pink moon and stars patterned paper, entitled "Magic Hour", with the super mod black and white square print on the back, is a perfect example on how versatile this collection is for dreamers of all ages. I love the way this patterned paper looks and feels! So fabulous, and obviously reminiscent of that magic hour in which Cinderella meets her "fairy godmother", or in other words, in that hour in which dreams come true!

I have several favorite patterns in this collection, but I would have to say that one of my very favorites, if not thee favorite, is my beautiful unicorn patterned paper! Absolutely love this paper! This unicorn is so very beautiful! She reminds me of the elegant white horses that carry Cinderella to her ball in her glistening gown and carriage. And because she is a unicorn, and not just a horse, this lovely fairytale creature on the "Everyday Wishes" patterned paper, reminds us all to dream big and reach for magic in our everyday lives!

I also really love the umbrella patterned paper. It is named "Jimeney Cricket" after that cute little conscience in Pinnochio! He has an umbrella if you recall, which he seems to carry mostly for floating around so as to help dreamers wish on stars! However, I also wanted the umbrellas in this collection because to me, an umbrella is also emblematic for rain and therefore, sadness. For me, there have been quite a few "rainy days" lately, but I know that after the rain, there is also so much beauty, because, after all, rainbows come after rain!

This next pattern, called "Dreams Do Come True", is also a favorite! I just love the pastel confetti on the front! Feels like magical rainbow rain, or unicorn tears, or yummy sprinkles, or party confetti! All of these things make me smile to think about! And the frozen yogurt on the other side, makes me happy too! I want to grab it and eat it!

Here is my "A Wish Your Heart Makes" patterned paper and it is all about the rainbows! We have a super fun rainbow stripe on the front that kinda has a sweet 80's throwback feel to it, and then a really awesome rainbow heart on the back. Those hearts also bring back some fun and memories of my childhood, playing with toys like "Rainbow Bright" and "She-Ra: Princess of Power" and "Polly Pocket"! It reminds me of the time in which I imagined and dreamed most...and all my dreams were wishes of the heart!

As I said, this collection has so much in it that is super versatile, as well as dreamy! I think this next pattern is a great example of that! Here is "Blue Fairy" and it has this amazing graphic dual colored chevron on the front, and then a sweet and simple pink polka dot on the back. Both are so awesome because they are so multi-functional!

This next pattern is called "Cinderelly" and it is aptly named as it is in reference to Cinderalla as she transforms from her cute pink dress, into her new and magical, sparkling evening gown (via her Fairy Godmother). For this reason, we have the simple pink pattern on the front, and then the more bold blue and teal diamond pattern on the back.

Now, lets look at the cut-apart sheets in the kit. Here is the first one, called "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo". I love this cut-apart! In it we have some of our Fairytale Club staples like the awesome tickets! And there are some really cool 2x2s and 3x4s on this sheet that can be cut out and used in pocket pages! I love the imagery on here like the princess card that says "princess" and the cute little blue fairytale birds tying the bow! Both things definitely remind me of Cinderella!

Here is my second cut-apart. It is entitled, "Upon a Star" and so, of course, it has moons and stars to wish upon, as well as a castle to dream in, and also a 4x6 card that says "when you wish upon a star" on it!

Now that we have explored the beautiful papers in this collection, let's now look at our beautiful embellishments! First, let's take a look at the ephemera pack that you can find in the kit. Here at The Fairytale Club, we believe strongly in the use of beautiful ephemera die-cuts, which you can use and reuse because they do not necessarily need to be stuck down. Because there is no adhesive on the back, you can also tuck them into pockets or paperclip them on pages. And this way, they can be used over and over again. I super duper LOVE these ephemera shapes! We have our beautiful unicorn, lots of lovely flowers, pretty blue birds, fro-yo, bows, stars, lipstick, butterflies, a princess cameo, a rainbow, some cute tags, and more! I love the "wishes" list so much too! It is everything that I am wishing for for the new year!

For this collection, we decided to do things a little bit different, and so, instead of including a few words in our ephemera pack, along with all the beautiful shapes...we decided to make a second pack that was all die-cut words! This is super useful, as you might imagine, and allows you all to create lots of titles and things for your various planning, scrapping and papercrafting needs! Words that are included are magical ones like "dream", "wish", "bright", "believing", and "star"....but also everyday words like "today", "hello", "everyday", and "memories".

We have some beautiful flair for our "Everyday Wishes" kit! I love the flair buttons that we do and so I had to do them for this collection. The princess flair and the adorable unicorn are my faves, but I am also excited to use the rainbow heart flair and the cute camera one too!

Next, we have our fabulous stickers! These stickers are so much fun! They are vibrant and bright and they very aptly evoke the theme of the collection which is all about wishes and dreams! All the stickers are cute and useful, but I think the cutest and most useful may be our fun little word/label stickers that are included in this sticker set.

Now that we have looked at all of the embellies in the collection, lets now take a look at all the beautiful planner pages that are in "Everyday Wishes". Check out this awesome overview of all the planner pages and take note of all the inspirational quotes and messages!

I really love the unicorn planner page soooooo much! Unicorns are a fave of mine and so I had to make a big, bold and beautiful planner page with this pretty little unicorn on the front. It says "Unicorn" on it too...just in case you didn't already know...wink, wink!

The inspirational quote planner pages in this collection are of particular importance to me. They really reflect what "Everyday Wishes" is all about and they carry my own thoughts and feelings...my own wishes and dreams for a bright and hopeful future! This one may be my favorite of all because it reminds us all to keep on dreaming no matter how difficult things may be.

And here we have a super cute and fun frozen yogurt planner page. I really enjoy this one...it does make me so hungry for fro-yo though! And it definitely was inspired by a wish that I have everyday -- for something sweet to eat!

This castle planner page is definitely a big favorite of mine too! It is my Fairytale Club castle...inspired by the most beautiful castle in the world...the one in the happiest place on earth. And in front of the castle, what do we find...some lovely fairytale birds tying a bow...very reminiscent of the birds in Cinderella!

I'm not really the biggest fan in the world of the color yellow, but I just love how it sets off my insta-matic camera graphic on this divider and makes it very warm and welcoming.  And the cursive "hello" underneath helps the whole thing feel even more friendly.

I like this next divider because it's a good reminder to appreciate what you have but also not to be complacent - there's always a brighter future within reach.

The sentiment on this next divider is all about finding the strength and passion that resides inside each of us.  It's great to have role models, but you have to remember that you are capable of so much and that you can and should be the person you admire the most.

I love love love this happy little bluebird, just reminding us to keep striving and to never give up hope, because dreams do come true.  And of course I always love a polka dot background, especially a pink one.

Here is another of my absolute favorites!!!! I looooooove this beautiful princess! She is so beautiful! This planner page with her on it, is just so dreamy...especially with the word "dream" down at the bottom and the unicorns on the back!

9.jpg

This divider is simple, but I just love both the rainbow featuring all the colors of the collection, and also, of course, the multi-colored confetti background, almost like the rain that usually falls before a rainbow appears.

I love this next divider with its simple iconic phrase and the lovely yellow triangle of color in the corner to add some visual interest.  And I also love how the black and white-striped stars look on the back with the light blue background.

And, finally, I enjoy this last divider because we've taken my favorite umbrella from the umbrella patterned paper and featured it at a much larger size.  In fact, I would love to have an actual, real-life umbrella with that medallion print.  Can we make that happen?

In the two most recent past collections, we've done a black and white transparency and then a gold-foil transparency, so this time it just seemed right to do one in full-color.  And what better pattern than the multi-color confetti?  It's perfect for you to use for your TN inserts, for your scrapbook mini albums, for card-making, for a planner divider, a shaker card...really anything you can think of!

I hope you enjoyed this full reveal of our newest collection, "Everyday Wishes"!  And may this very special kit inspire you to wish upon a star and believe in dreams come true!!!

"Jolly" Full Kit Reveal!!!

Hey Everyone! It is Andrea here, and today, finally, I am going to share with you our super amazing, oh so adorable, new kit! It is Christmas-y and vintage meets modern, with lots of beautiful pinks and reds and greens and blues...and it's got Santa and a reindeer and a snowman and lots of other classic Christmas gorgeousness! One might even say that it is "the most wonderful kit of the year, for the hap-happiest season of all"! So let's take a look at our newest collection, "Jolly"! Yay!!!!!

"Jolly" is the perfect way to document all of your Christmas magic!  It is inspired by the classic Christmas movie, Babes in Toyland, and has that whimsical and kitschy-cute, retro vibe.  Babes in Toyland is set in a fairytale world where magic, especially Christmas magic, abounds, and happily-ever-after wins the day.  I wanted "Jolly" to have the same, magical feel, and child-like sense of wonder that is expressed in the movie.

I used a lot of classic Christmas imagery in this collection, such as Santa Claus, candy canes, reindeer, Christmas trees, snow flakes, etc.  And I tried to create patterns that were reminiscent of vintage Christmas wrapping paper.  I think you'll find that "Jolly" is filled with Christmas magic and perfect for documenting all those magical and traditional things that you do during your holiday season.

Now that we've talked a bit about "Jolly" as a whole, let's take a look specifically at the product that comes in "Jolly."  First, let's talk about all the cute patterned paper.  As I said, I was inspired by vintage wrapping paper, and I think the patterns that resulted are really special and do capture that vintage feeling.  This is due to the classic imagery used, but also the types of geometric patterns I've done, and also the fabulous color scheme! In Jolly you get the traditional reds and greens, but there are also some lovely blues and pinks mixed in which help to work together and create that retro vibe.  ;-)

The first paper I want to talk about, "Merry Christmas," is a good example of the vintage wrapping paper feeling I was trying to capture.  Both sides could be wrapping paper really. I think the pink and red geometric print is super cute and lovely and kinda reminiscent also of a vintage quilt. I love that hand-drawn Merry Christmas text on the back side of this paper too! It feels very vintage-y and is perfect to use as a background but would work great to cut up too to make lots of little"Merry Christmas" labels.

As you may know by now, I love taking familiar graphics and giving them somewhat unexpected color schemes, like the Christmas trees in this pattern, "Oh Christmas Tree!"  I love pink, and together with the dark blue-y, teal-y color that is in the collection, it just works to make such a vintage meets modern vibe! It makes me smile!  And on the back, you have a great white on mint dimensional polka dot!

I am so so in love with this next paper, which happens to have the same name as the collection it represents, "Jolly".  Isn't that Santa just adorable?!  He is just so very, well, Jolly!!! And on the back is that amazing red and pink stripe pattern, with the different shades of red and pink that come in the collection, so reminiscent of wrapping paper and so versatile!

03 - Jolly.jpg

"Let it Snow" is the next paper in the collection, with large snow flakes on the front and a geometric pattern on the back which is strongly evocative of ice and icicles.  This one is perfect for any project involving fun snow activities, like building a snow man, sledding, or ice skating!  And I love that shade of blue!

The next paper has a simple, diagonal, multi-colored stripe on the front with a dual-tone pinwheel pattern on the back.  This paper really reminded me of the awesome techni-color colors and whimsical design of the movie that inspired this collection, so I gave it the same name - "Babes in Toyland."  Both sides are super versatile and will work great as backgrounds of cards or mini album pages. I think they are perfect to use for 12x12 layouts too -- like in a large strip at the top of the page, or as a border to frame a white paper, or a small square piece to layer behind your pic, etc!

I love this next paper, "Happy Holidays," ! I enjoy the fact that the outlines of the circles in the pattern are made of little white dots...so they are circles made of circles, essentially.  And the green of the background is such a fabulous vintage Christmas tree green!  And the back side with the retro star pattern definitely brings to mind some vintage wrapping paper but also reminds me a of a cool vintage tile floor in a super retro kitchen from the 50's or 60's !  I love it!

One of my absolute favorite papers in the "Jolly" collection is this next one, which I have named "Candyland."  The front side has adorable, wrapped mint candies in three different colors that kind of seem like maybe they're raining down from the sky, while the back side has this amazing "Love Joy Faith" print with hand drawn block letters on a great, red background.

And now we get to the cut-apart sheets for the collection.  The first one is called "Dear Santa," and I absolutely love it.  Not only is the front side filled with pocket cards, tags, and labels of all different sizes, not to mention that great column of tickets, but you also have a wonderful back side with a colorful Christmas stockings pattern!  I just love everything about this!

The other cut-apart sheet is called "Love Joy Faith" and features pocket cards in 2 different sizes -- 3X4 and 4x6.  It also has some cute word labels that you can cut out too! I can't wait to cut this sheet up and use ALL of them!  They are so stinking cute and useful!  And of course I love the adorable red and green bow pattern on the back side.

So, that was all of our beautiful patterned paper from the collection!  I can't wait to use it for my Christmas projects!  Now let's take a look at the gorgeous embellishments, starting with the ephemera pack.  We always do an ephemera pack in our kits and that is because they are super cute but also super versatile and useful and can be used for multiple purposes. They look great on a layout, but are also perfect for tucking into the pockets of your planner...and they can be used and re-used if you want because you don't necessarily have to adhere them down.  Now, I put a lot of time and effort into creating the pieces for this collection, as always, but I honestly think this is one of my favorite sets of die cuts so far.  My favorite pieces are the waving Santa (so adorable!), the reindeer with her cute little antlers (yes, girl reindeer grow antlers...they are magical that way), the mint candies, the snow man, the snowflakes, and the pink tag with the vintage girl trimming her Christmas tree!  But really I love them all!!!

The flair buttons from last month's "This is Halloween" collection were such a hit that we knew we had to include them in the "Jolly" collection, too.  The six flair buttons for this collection  are the hand drawn white "Joy" on red, the pink Christmas tree on green, the candy cane with a mint bow on pink, the pink reindeer on mint, the cute Santa on white, and one of my little snowflakes on our dark blue-y, teal-y color .  If I had to pick a favorite, I think it would be the Santa...or the deer...or the snowflake...or maybe the candy cane...or...ok, ummm...well, really all of them!

Flair Buttons with packaging.jpg

The shaped sticker sheet continues to be a new favorite with our customers, so it returns again for the "Jolly" collection!  I love the reindeer, of course, now in a light blue-y, minty color, and both "Merry Christmas" stickers!  Ooooh, and I also love the striped stars and the pink gingerbread man! But my fave will have to be the cute little kids cuddled up in their bed!

October 2017 - sticker sheet.jpg

We are also bringing back the gold-foiled-on-vellum word and shape stickers.  I just love how these look on the page! So shiny and pretty!!! I think the golden snowman is my fave!

So that's all the embellishments for the collection.  Let's return to paper and take a look at the awesome planner dividers, just filled to the brim with Christmas and seasonal images and phrases!

A5 Block.jpg

One of my favorite dividers is, you guessed it, the one with the waving Santa!  This time he has the title for the collection hovering over his head.  And I love those scallops at the top and bottom!

Here in southern California we almost never actually get snow, but I wanted to create a divider with the "let it snow" mantra anyway.  You never know! Fingers crossed!!!

I love my happy snow man, don't you? He is very frosty, but very fun as well! And he just makes me smile!

I love the sentiment of this divider.  It's something we all need to remember from time to time during this very busy time of year.

This is perhaps my favorite design in the whole collection.  Aren't they cute, all shnuggled up in bed? They are a couple of "babes in toyland", dreaming of Christmas, with all those great visions of sugar plums and such dancing in their heads! Meanwhile, you can imagine Santa tip-toeing in, putting their presents under the tree for a magical Christmas morning!

And this Candy Cane planner page is way cute too! I love the big pink bow on it...it makes for a very sweet little gift to hand out during those "Happy Holidays" !

I love the graphic of the girl trimming her tree, so of course I had to put it on a divider.  She is just so vintage and cute! She was modeled after the main character in Babes in Toyland, Mary Contrary, played by Annette Funicello. She has the same kind of dress that you see the character wearing in the movie, but in red instead of yellow...I thought I would change the color to make it feel a little more Christmas-y. And I love the pink trees with the pink background on the back side of this planner page too! All of it is just way cute and definitely a big fave too!

This wooden toy soldier really wants to wish you a "Merry Christmas!" He is inspired by the march of the wooden soldiers in Babes in Toyland . An army of wooden soldiers are brought to life through the magic of the Toymaker and his Toyland and used to save the day by Tom so that he can rescue Mary! It is such a cute movie and if you haven't seen it yet, you have to!

This next divider is so great too!  I really love the red lettering in front of the pink retro stars on the darker pink background. And the sentiment is perfect for the Holidays!

My little reindeer, back in pink again, makes for a great divider graphic, don't you think? I just love her! She is a big favorite too for sure! So cute with her little antlers and her bell! I think I want one of her for Christmas, please...thank you!

I haven't talked about the polar bear in this next divider yet, but isn't he just so cute with his bow and that adorable look on his face!?  And how do you like my silly pun?! Do you get it?! It is super corny, I know!

And for the last divider, we have a big stocking, in pink and green, stuffed with presents and ready for Christmas morning.  I love it on the diagonal stripe background! It is super retro looking and exactly the stocking I wish I would get for Christmas!

Ok, so we're bringing back one more thing, and it's the transparency.  But this time, in honor of this special season, it's been upgraded to gold-foil!  This transparency features the snow flake pattern seen elsewhere, and it's called "Winter Wonderland."  It's perfect for you to use for your TN inserts, for your scrapbook mini albums, for card-making, for a planner divider, a shaker card...really anything you can think of!

Well, that's everything!  I am so excited to finally have been able to share this collection with you.  I hope you enjoyed this reveal as much as I did!  "Jolly" is sure to set your eyes a-twinkle and get you humming Christmas songs to yourself, so stay tuned for the kits to go on sale soon, and join in the magic!  Merry Christmas everyone!

"This is Halloween" Full Kit Reveal!!!

Hello everyone! It is Andrea here and today I am so excited to share with you the full kit reveal for our new collection/kit, "This is Halloween"! Now, I love designing all of The Fairytale Club kits...but, this kit was extra-special to me because of it's subject matter...namely, Halloween! I absolutely am in love with Halloween-time and I always have been! It is my favorite holiday and I celebrate it every year to its fullest!...with tons of decorations, shopping and presents and candy, special outings and traditions, themed outfits and pajamas, costumes, baking, crafts, jack-o-lanterns, trick-or-treating, tons of pictures, and so much more! To me, it is the best time of year, just filled with magic, and so I was just thrilled to create a kit that could celebrate this fabulous holiday and help you all to document it, whether that be through planning or scrapbooking or both! This kit is perfect for your Halloween-time papercrafting needs! And will work great to make cute Halloween cards and home decorations as well as working beautifully in your planner and your scrapbook!

Let's talk a bit about the inspiration behind "This is Halloween"! As I said, I love Halloween!!! And I, therefore, had to make this collection reflect all that I love about Halloween! I wanted this collection to be about the magic of Halloween! To me, the magic of Halloween is about all the wonder and happiness and whimsy it brings...the kind that you feel when you are a kid trick-or-treating, and that you still feel as an adult, looking at all the cute decorations and watching fun movies like "Hocus Pocus" and "Nightmare Before Christmas" that really reflect the season and what it's about! And as you may already be able to tell, those two movies are the ones that I chose for my inspiration on this kit.

As you know, I always pick Disney movies to inspire me while I am designing, and I was so inspired by "Hocus Pocus" and "Nightmare," and you can see how that reveals itself in the collection. For example, all those cats and witches and references to magic...well those were definitely inspired by all the witchy goodness in "Hocus Pocus" ! And the "Nightmare Before Christmas" vibe can be found in the kit, too, in details like the spider-webbed hearts, some of the fonts and sayings, and just the combination of Halloween goodness (i.e. pumpkins, bats, spiders, ghosts, witches, etc), which reminds me of the town of Halloween, itself!

Now, let's take a look at all the goodies in "This is Halloween", shall we?! First, let's look at the patterned papers. I love our patterns in this collection! As you can see, the color scheme for "This is Halloween" is so much fun! We have the traditional orange and black, but also these awesome pinks and purples and green too! I am loving the lavender especially! These fun colors add a more modern feel to our "This is Halloween" collection and are very on trend!

And the patterns themselves are a mix of the traditional Halloween and also a newer style that is very popular right now and which I am digging, too! I myself am both a Halloween traditionalist, who loves orange and black and vintage/retro Halloween goodies...and I am also someone who loves the cute, new vibe of Halloween that has been coming out lately which is very sassy and sweet and incorporates things like pastels and hearts!  So, in the collection you will find this combo of old and new...of vintage Halloween and also today's Halloween! I think a good example of this is the "This is Halloween" patterned paper. It is called "This is Halloween", like the collection itself, because I think it represents a combination of Halloween goodness and also magic and whimsy that the collection is all about! It has ghosts and jack-o-lanterns and skeletons and spiderwebs and bats and it is just so cute! Very modern and trendy on the front! And on the back, there is a beautiful, traditional orange and black stripe that is much more retro and classic.

One of my favorite patterns in the collection is another kitty pattern...a kitty witch to be precise! I am in love with our lovely "Hocus Pocus" patterned paper! The pink background with the cute little cat in her cute little witch's hat just makes me smile! And on the back is a simple, but oh so versatile and useful, star pattern.

01 - Hocus Pocus.jpg

Another favorite of mine is the "I Put a Spell On You" patterned paper. On one side, you find a cute little vintage image of a kitty sitting on a jack-o-lantern, but it's in a cute and unconventional minty green color instead of the more traditional black or orange. And on the other side of the paper, you find a very cool geometric pattern which is very modern looking, but in the more traditional orange and white color scheme.

06 - I Put a Spell on You.jpg

I am really excited to get my hands on the "Sanderson" patterned paper! The one side with the southwestern style print, but in the Halloween colors, is so amazing! But I think I may love the other side even more, with just the simple, big, orange polka dots that are themselves made of little, tiny polka-dots!

04 - Sanderson.jpg

The "Boo!" patterned paper is so cool! I love the "boo" script! Way cute! And the doodled stars on the back feel very artsy and fun!

05 - Boo.jpg

Another fave of mine is the "Binx" patterned paper! I love those little black cats! How stinking cute are those!!! And the lavender and orange plaid on the back just screams fall!

03 - Binx.jpg

And the "Jack and Sally" patterned paper is so fabulous! Obviously, the spider-webbed hearts in orange and lavender are way cute, but the dimensional lavender polka dot on the back is just so very pretty, too...both sides are just gorgeous and I am excited to use them!

07 - Jack and Sally.jpg

Then, there are our cut-apart sheets... Well, I am loving the cut-aparts for this collection! Our first cut-apart is called "Nightmare" and it has our 4x6 decorative pocket cards on it! I love the one that says "Halloween" on it, and also the one with the cute, retro, happy jack-o-lantern! And then on the back there is that awesome black and white pattern that works great with anything really!

08 - Nightmare.jpg

And the other cut-apart is called "Trick-or-Treat". And it has tons of goodies on it...labels, tags, tickets, 3x4 and 2x2 decorative cards! So great! I am particularly in love with the ombre "Halloween" piece and also all the cute 2x2 cards, especially the super cute white one with the spiderweb eyelashes! And the back of the page is this really cool multi-colored chevron that is super modern and fun!

09 - Trick or Treat.jpg

Now that we have looked at all of the amazing patterned paper in the kit/collection, let's now take a look at our spooktacular embellishments! First, let's check out our ephemera pack! I really had fun and put a lot of thought and time into creating these ephemera pieces. My favorite pieces are the little cameo witch (she is so very cute and pretty!), the half painted pumpkins, the little pink ghost tag, the jack-o-lantern hearts, the two Halloween scripts, the boo lollipop, the kitty witch...and so many more! Really, I just love this ephemera pack...it is jam-packed with Halloween magic!

In addition to our classic choice of ephemera pack for this kit, we also wanted to make some new choices for embellies and so we decided to include some flair this time....yaaaaaay! I am so very excited for the flair! I have been wanting to do flair since we started The Fairytale Club, and we are finally doing it! So the flair pack comes with 6 flair buttons. There is a super cute "boo!", a sweet kitty witch, a happy jack-o-lantern, a fun ghost, a cool "xoxo" and my pretty little witch (this time with pink hair)! I can't wait to see what you all do with this fabulous flair!

For this kit, we decided to do shaped stickers again. We tried out a shaped stickers sheet for our last kit and we got a great response, so we thought we would do it again for "This is Halloween," and I am very excited! The sticker sheet is definitely one of my fave things in the collection! It is just way cute, with the ghost and the witch kitty and the silly skull and all the little bats and stars and things. And I especially love the cool square stickers that say things like "magic" and "halloween is my favorite thing" and "haunted" and "trick-or-treat"!

And for another new embellishment that we have never done before in our previous kits, we decided to add in some cool gold-foiled-on-vellum word stickers! Well, actually there are mostly words, but some awesome shapes too! I loooooove these! So cute! We have words like "beware" and "spooky" and "spell" and "boo" and also cool shapes like jack-o-lanterns, hearts and bats! These are going to look fabulous in your papercrafting projects!

Now that we have looked at our cool embellishments for the kit, let's take a look at the planner dividers in "This is Halloween"!  The planner dividers for this kit are a bit different than we have done with the last couple kits, as we have decided to return to the original way that we did the dividers set. So, just as it once was, we have decided to do pure decorative dividers for you in this kit, and forgo the calendar pages. So, let's take a look at our decorative planner dividers, shall we? They are super duper, uber cute and just filled with fun Halloween images and Halloween sayings!

I love the "Hocus Pocus" themed dividers in the kit! One of my favorite planner dividers is the one that says "Don't Be Afraid, it's just a bunch of Hocus Pocus" on it! I love the ombre in the back and all the cute little sparkles! Another one of my absolute favorite planner dividers is my super duper pretty and oh so cute little witch with the green hair that says "I put a spell on you" (like the song that the Sanderson Sisters sing in the movie)! She is so special and looks so beautiful against that pretty lavendar gingham background!

11.jpg

I am also loving the really retro looking dividers! I love my happy jack-o-lantern! How cute is she, with her wide eyes, big smile and those fab polka dots in the background! So vintage looking and so adorable! And the little black cat sitting on the jack-o-lantern is so very retro too and makes a great silhouette against a traditional orange background.

8.jpg

There are a couple of dividers that have that cool "Nightmare Before Christmas" kind of vibe, like the one that says "welcome to our town of halloween" (with the cute little face on it that looks like a certain pumpkin king), and also the ombre one that says "halloween is my favorite thing". These are two of my favorite pieces in the kit!

12.jpg
4.jpg

I love the modern, kitschy "pastel goth" looking dividers too, like the fun heart bat and my super sweet witch kitty! She is just so adorable! Both of them are way cute!

3.jpg
5.jpg

I am also excited about word/phrase dividers in the set, like the "beware" divider and the one that says "you look fab-boo-lous"! That one especially is so funny, with the spiderweb eyelashes and the silly pun!

10.jpg
2.jpg

And last but not least, I am in love with the magical dividers like the lovely black cat against the dimensional black and lavender stars, and especially the super duper cool "trick-or-treat" divider with the little trick-or-treating witch and her little kitty, having some Halloweeen fun! That one is really special!

Ok, now, lets talk about another special, and new addition to the collection/kit this time around....transparency!!!! Yes, for "This is Halloween", we decided to do a transparency! I am super duper excited about it! We have for you a cool jack-o-lantern heart transparency called "I heart Halloween", which is perfect for you to use for your TN inserts, for your scrapbook mini albums, for cardmaking, for a planner divider...really anything you can think of! It is way cute and brings some extra magic and fun to this super magical and fun collection! It is a new addition that I know you will love and that I hope we can do more of for future kits!

I Heart Halloween transparency.jpg

Alright, there is actually another surprise part of the collection that I cannot yet reveal, so stay tuned for that! It is a bit of a Halloween Surprise...so you will have to wait to find out! Otherwise, that is it for our "This is Halloween" full kit reveal! I am so thrilled for this collection/kit! I can't wait for you all to get it! I hope you enjoyed the reveal, and get ready for Halloween-time guys, because the bestest, most magical, wonderful, and spooktacular holiday ever is just around the corner and calling on you to be a big kid again...a kid who believes in fairytales, hocus pocus, and a Happy Halloween!

July's "Sweet!" Kit Reveal: Part 2 (12x12 Paper)

Hello there everyone! Today we want to share with you the next look at our upcoming “Sweet!” collection! This is the second part of our reveal, and it is a look at the beautiful, fun and vibrant 12x12 patterned papers within our July kit!

I really love the color-scheme for “Sweet!”! I think the best way to describe the color-scheme may be “rainbow-y”! Yes, the colors for this collection are like a beautiful rainbow! In this collection, you get light and also bright pinks and watermelon-red and awesome teals and bright blue and some fun peachy colors...oh, and some fun in the sun yellow too! I really wanted this collection to evoke a bright and playful, happy summertime feeling and I think the variety of bright and vibrant colors in “Sweet!” really helps to do that!

The color-scheme isn't the only thing bringing the summertime joy in “Sweet!”, there are so many cute and happy patterns that just work perfectly for documenting your summertime adventures! Whether those adventures are at the beach, by the pool, in the park (like maybe a Disney park perhaps :-) )...or hanging out at home, or shopping at the mall, or at a fair, or a concert, or a candy store, or wherever really! It is just a great collection to celebrate all the fun summer things that you like to do!

I think the collection is so perfectly named given all the fabulous “sweets” that you can find throughout “Sweet!”! For example, there is the ice-creams and popsicles patterned paper, the pink lollipop patterned paper, and the paper called “Bubble Gum, Cherry Pop, Let's Go to the Hop” which has a mix of different sweets on it (like cotton candy, heart candies, ice-cream, lollipops, popsicles and also words like “yum” and “super sweet”)!

03-Sweet-12x12-Paper.jpg
23-Sweet-12x12-Paper-with-stroke.jpg

Oh and how cute are the sweet pieces that you can find on the cut-apart sheets?! I love that 4x6 ice-cream card and the cut-apart piece with the cotton-candy girl on it...she has a bow...how sweet is that?!!

Talking about the cut-apart sheets, I am loving the ones that we have this month! I think the Rainbow Unicorn card is my favorite for sure!!! I am also really digging that film-strip of pop-art girl's faces with the heart sunglasses that say “xo,xo” on them! So cool!

I think you are going to love the watercolor patterned papers that we have for this kit! I think the rainbow one is gorgeous! I also really love the paper titled “Summer's On” which has that cool painted pattern on it that kinda looks like sprinkles or confetti or something...so adorable!

Let's talk about some of the super versatile patterns that we have this month, shall we? I think the ledger is definitely a favorite! I mean, who doesn't love a good ledger paper?! It is such a great staple patterned paper that can really work for so many stories! I think it would be so perfect to journal about your summertime adventures! It would be really awesome to make a Summer Bucket-list on that too and then you could list out what you want to do on the ledger and put pics next to each item on the list to document all your summer fun!

Oh, and there are so many awesome and really versatile patterns that are just super duper cute and graphic patterns that you can use for anything! I love the pink on pink chevron pattern, the red and pink triangle pattern, the cute polka dot patterns that come in the collection, the green diamond pattern, and the really cool blue scallop pattern called “Be Yourself” that kinda looks like little blue and pink rainbows that are just repeated like scallops or scales across the page! Those last two patterns have a really fab “morrocan” kind of vibe (think Agrabah...hint, hint, wink, wink), don't they?!

Definitely another favorite pattern of mine in the collection is the one titled “I heart unicorns” which has lovely unicorn cameo silhouettes repeated across it! So magical and lovely! I really do heart unicorns!!! Don't you?!

Another really fun pattern in the collection that I am excited to work with is the “Cool like Me” pattern with the sunglasses on it. It is just so perfect for summertime! And on the back of that one there is a really teal cute bow patterned paper that is so cute too!

I decided to do a fun bird pattern too that has a bit of a tropical vibe and a little bit of a "love bird" feel to it too!

And there are definitely some patterns in “Sweet!” that are giving off some really great vintage vibe, like the retro style, beach-ball looking pattern that is called “Surf, Sun, Sand”. It is such a bright and vibrant pattern with its multi-colored circles...so cute!

Talking about vibrant and colorfol patterns...there are certainly a lot in this collection! One of my faves is the one titled “Sweet!” like the collection name itself, which has the rainbow watercolor on one side, and on the other there is a really cool and also colorful script pattern that is a kind of love-letter to summer itself! This is absolutely one of my favorites! I really enjoy the underlined and circled words and phrases, in the varying colors of the collection, that just really make the pattern and the sentiment of the letter POP off the page!!!

Alright, well, I hope you have enjoyed this look at the patterned papers within the “Sweet!” collection! These patterns are making me so happy and excited for summertime adventures right now and they are so cute and sweet...I think I may be developing a sweet-tooth...oh, wait, I already have one...which explains the oreo in my hand...hahahahaha! Ok, hope you enjoyed part 2 of our “Sweet!” reveal, stay tuned for part 3 where we show you the fabulous planner dividers...and then the wrap up of the reveal which will go over everything in the collection including the reveal of all the fairytale inspiration that went into the making of “Sweet!” Ok, byeeeeee!!!!
