Remebering December with Kellie

Kellie here with you again to share another creation I made using the December Dreams kit, because you get so much within your kit, you really can just make and make and still have some left over and I LOVE that about these kits.  While the collection isn't available anymore as a whole kit, you can still get all the elements of the kit separately, except for one of the papers.

DD_TFC_KELLIE_1Ok back on track.  I'm going to share with you a 6x4 layout I created x two for an album I'm determined to get finished this year.  It's a Remembering December album that is based on Christmas pasts and present.  i made a list to go off and have been working my way through.  This kit from The Fairytale Club couldn't had been a better fit.
DD_TFC_KELLIE_1What I love most about this kit is the colour theme.  Pink and red was actually the colour we went with on the tree for 2018 and I'm actually 80% sure the kit had a bit to do with my change from my traditional green, red and gold theme.  Tree looked amazing.  If you haven't already, subscribe! Each month the kits keep getting better and better and you won't want to miss them.
DD_TFC_KELLIE_1To create this layout I actually kept it rather simple.  What I love about the kits each month is there is always one or two 12x12 pattern papers that actually has cut outs, they are my FAV!  Like this Candy Cane - it works so well as a little flip card to then have the day number on the back and not taking it away from the photo or the pattern paper with the red scallops that I used to then add the journaling card, also from the cut out!  Before I go can we all agree the gingerbread man is the cutest!

Aimee's Santa Visit

Hi all Aimee here, hoping you had a great Christmas and New Year! Today I’m sharing a layout I made using the “December Dreams” Kit.

I took my little dog Jager to see Santa at the Mall and of course I had to scrap it!

My layout is an 8.5 x 11 and I used an A5 dashboard from the December Dreams kit as my back ground. Who knew that an A5 dashboard fits perfectly onto an 8.5 x 11 layout!

4.jpg

I fussy cut the tree from another one of the A5 dashboards. Using some 3-d adhesive foam, I layered it over my photo. (Don’t forget that cute little deer that’s layered over the tree.) I also cut some scallops from “Land of Snowflakes” and stitched them to the top and bottom of that A5 dashboard.

2.jpg

When I was stitching the scallops on to my cardstock, I also stitched on a snowflake and “ticket” from the die cut pack for fun. I also used 3-d foam adhesive to pop them up and layer them on top of my photo.

Next I took “Merry” + “Christmas,” and, using more 3-d foam adhesive, I placed these die cut words at the top of my page.

To finish off my layout I used a date roller stamp to date the visit to Santa.

Do you take your pets to see Santa?

XOXO Aimee

Aimee's Disney "December Dreams" Layout

Hey all Aimee here on the eve x2 of Christmas Eve, Say What? Really it’s a thing!

Anyways, I am throwin’ it back today with a Christmas layout using the “December Dreams” kit.

This photo of my husband and I was taken at Disneyland in 2009. Look how skinny he was!

We started dating in 2009, so at that time he really didn’t say no to Disneyland. I remember dragging him to Disneyland the week of Thanksgiving that year. I think he about killed me. But I’m so happy I have these photos and memories.

I really went out of my comfort zone with this layout. I rarely use such a busy background for my layouts.

For my 8.5 x 11 layout, I started off my trimming down the clear acetate sheet “You Have the Key” to fit inside my white cardstock. Next I used one of the A5 dashboards to give my layout a nice pop of red.

3.jpg

I layered some of the die cuts with 3-d adhesive foam, in different thicknesses at the bottom left corner of my page. For another added affect, I added some red eye lash thread amongst my die cuts. I used my tiny stapler to attach the thread to my layout.

And don’t forget the tiny die cut stars that I stapled to the top left side of my layout!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by the blog today, I’m sure you have a ton of things to get done before the BIG day next week.

Do you have all your shopping, decorating, crafting done?

XOXO, Aimee

Kellie's 4x4 Mini-Layout with "December Dreams"

Hello everyone! It's Kellie here to share a mini layout I created in a 4x4 mini album. These little albums are the best for documenting your memories. They can be used for one theme or many. I decided to use one for just whatever I feel like at the time - no theme, no reason, just getting creative. Which is exactly what I did this month with the NEW December Dreams kit.

I made this wreath back in about 2012 or 2013... Pretty sure it was 2012. I randomly found the photo while looking for something the other month and kept it aside knowing I would use it with this kit!

If you haven't already, subscribe! Although it’s too late for your subscription to include the “December Dreams” kit, you can still purchase most of the separate components from this kit, and each time the kits keep getting better and better, so by subscribing now you won’t miss out on future kits. The acetate sheet that comes with the kit is gold on one side and a red on the back. I mean HOW awesome right!? I've used the red side here. I fiddled with the gold but it wasn't working, and then once I turned it over, the whole thing came together.

I then layered around the photo with the die-cut shapes ephemera pack and used one of the left over strips from the card I made and shared previously. I also used one of the little pom pom paper clips, they are so soft and fluffy. I grabbed a pocket that has 4 mini squares and cut up the 12x12 pattern papers and again used some of the die-cut shapes ephemera pack with a flair button. A quick little 4x4 in the album, just because. :)

Aimee's "December Dreams" Layout

Hi there, Aimee here! Hope you are having a wonderful Monday, lol. Today I’m sharing a layout using “December Dreams.”

12-3-18.jpg

While I was out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday, my husband and I drove around and found some fun places to take photos. We came across this half-decorated tree, and I was all, “husband STOP this is a perfect photo opp!”

So, with fashionable style we took photos with a half decorated tree with a tub full of ornaments behind us. I highly recommend learning how to use the timer on your camera and have a tripod handy. I took some pretty awesome photos this way.

Keeping it simple as always I used my go to 8.5 x 11 white cardstock for my base. I cut a piece of “Oh Christmas Tree” just smaller than my cardstock. I layered my photo on one of the A5 dashboards, and cut it down to mat my photo.

3.jpg

I used 3-d foam to pop my matted photo of the page. I fussed around with some die cuts and settled with the 3 snowflakes, the Nutcracker, Sugar Plum Fairy and of course the Christmas Tree.

I also used the printed strip at the bottom of the 12x12 sheet of “Oh Christmas Tree” to create the ribbon flag, and layered it with the “joy” flair.

Of course, I stamped my layout with the date the photo was taken {Date roller stamp from Heidi Swapp}.

2.jpg

And to take my layout to the next level I add sparkles to my die cuts. I dug into my old supplies and pulled my box of Stickles, I haven’t used these in ages. I love this extra sparkly touch!

I love this silly photo of my husband and I. Do you every stop at random places to take photos? Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

XOXO Aimee

Laura's 6x8 December Dreams Layout for December Daily

Hi Everyone, it's Laura here to share a 6x8 layout I made using the December Dreams collection for my December Daily this year. One of my favorite things to incorporate is stories from past Christmases, mixed in with stories from the current year. I love having a flash from the past included in my album.

01-Laura-2018-11-27.jpg

I always start my album on Thanksgiving day, and I've found that week before December 1st to be the perfect time to tell some of these stories. This year I was inspired by the cute gingerbread die cuts in the kit to tell a story about a tradition from when I was a kid of making gingerbread houses with my mom.

02-Laura-2018-11-27.jpg

I worked with a digital version of this kit, so I played around with printing on different types of paper. For my background I printed out the snowflake personal planner page onto vellum, and the die cut gingerbread house was printed onto iridescent paper to add a bit of sparkle.

I also used past kit components to pull the page together. I used a die cut frame and a title from the Hello Beautiful Kit. I love that this collection plays together so well with December Dreams.

Thanks for looking and I hope you're having an enjoyable holiday season!

Laura's October Daily

Hello everyone, it's Laura here to share some pages from my October Daily project that I've been working on. I've been having some health challenges this month, and one of the ways I've simplified my scrapbooking is by downsizing. I'm using a 4x4 mini album, and I love that Andrea's kit works for this size too.

To start the month, I folded down one of the calendar dividers and cut a slit in the side so it could fold up into my album. The smaller planner divider size works well in 4x4 albums this way.

I've been especially enjoying using the die cut packs that came with the kit. Sprinkled throughout my album, they give the whole thing consistency. I also like using the B side of the planner pages as simple patterns for journaling or backgrounds.

On this page I've used one of the planner dividers, cut it down, and used the lines for journaling about a special trip to the pumpkin patch. I also love how the pompom paperclip peeks through from the next page. Those might be my favorite part of the whole kit! For me, albums this size are a great chance to play with layers and pages outside the page protector.

Thanks to Andrea for creating such a versatile and beautiful October kit! And I hope you all are having a wonderful October!

Kellie's 6x8 Halloween Layout 2: The Spookquel

Kellie here with you today to share a layout I created using the Magical and Mischievous kit that I love to bits! This kit truly has everything and not just for your Halloween crafts as I've shown as we don't celebrate it down here in Australia, per se

2018-10-28 10.46.57.jpg

I feel that using a white cardstock background works so well to then add as much colour as you like. I scrapbook in the 6x8 size. Snap chat to the rescue for a photo and in black and white which, again, makes using colour even better.

2018-10-29 11.09.46.jpg

Layering in a layout is my favourite thing to do. Often I have to stop myself from layering too much, if there is such a thing! I've used the 12 x 12 pattern papers from the kit and with the ephemera also.

2018-10-29 11.09.59.jpg

I've used the acetate web sheet also on the silver side as the other side is purple, which is awesome to have two different colours.

I'm really happy with the end result, and after two layouts, two cards, and a mini album layout, I still have enough of the kit left over for so much more spooky crafting! What are you going to create with your kit?
