Summer Magic Tags with Carrie

Hello Everybody, it’s Carrie here with some fun dimensional tags for decorating happy mail, wedding presents, birthdays, or even adding to a layout. I used the Beautiful Dreamer Kit to create these beauties, and here’s how I did it…..

To start off I used plain white cardstock, white foam paper, the 12x12 “Flora, Fauna and Merryweather” paper from the kit, and THIS tag die from Lawn Fawn. The die cut foam window is sandwiched in between the patterned cardstock tag bottom, and white cardstock window using red line tape. This created the base for my tag. Once this step was complete I added small gold eyelets to the tag holes before embellishing.

For these first three tags I used die cuts from the regular die cut pack as well as the floral die cut pack. In some places I used foam adhesive for dimension when layering the pieces together. I also added a few small rhinestones for a little extra sparkle. These tags remind me of the perfect summer garden.

I really love the addition of vellum to the die cut pack, so for both these last tags I used some of the vellum pieces layered with cardstock pieces to make it look more like fluttering wings…..for the butterfly and the unicorn which I apparently made into a unicorn pegasus lol. I used foam adhesive again in some spots, and as a final touch added more small rhinestones.

Mother's Day Card with Carrie

Hello Everybody. Today I’m sharing a Mother’s Day card I put together for my mom using the lovely Beautiful Dreamer Kit. Sleeping Beauty is my favorite Disney animation so I super love the inspiration behind this beautiful kit.

To begin, I knew I wanted to use the gorgeous big floral 12x12 paper from the kit cut down for my card base along with the chipboard alphas. So I loosely placed the chipboard onto the floral paper and used a small heart shaker insert from Jellibean Soup to fill up the extra space at the end of the word “mothers”. I filled the shaker with sequins that matched the background paper, cut a heart out of the paper, and placed the shaker insert in the heart space so the edges were hidden inside the card and the shaker is peeking through the hole.

I attached the chipboard and shaker insert to the card base and then cut my card down to size. The “Happy” and “Day” from the sticker sheet are popped up using foam adhesive to state my “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment. To tie in the sequins from the shaker I placed a few of the same color on top of the sentiment layered with little rhinestones for extra sparkle.

Lastly, I used some foam adhesive to pop up three small hearts from the sticker sheet, and glued the crown from the die cut pack onto the top of the heart shaker…..and that’s it. Thanks for taking a look at my project and I’ll see you next time : ) Carrie

Galentine's Mini Folio with Carrie

Hello Everybody, Carrie here with a fun Galentine’s project I made for one of my girlfriends using the Practically Perfect Kit. I To create the base of my folio I followed the tutorial Serena Bee shared on her YouTube channel back in December, and it couldn’t have been more easy and fun to put together. I’ll link her tutorial HERE.

Following Serena’s tutorial I created the base of my folio using a 6x12 inch piece of this lovely fan looking 12x12 inch paper, and then added pink satin ribbon from my stash as my closure. To decorate the front I used this large red heart from the stationery pack, and popped it up with some foam adhesive. To add a little more sparkle I covered the entire front of the heart with Wink of Stella and added two red pearl dots from my stash.

This mini folio folds into four 3x4 inch pockets. For the first pocket I added the SUPERCALIFRAGILISTIC square from one of the cut apart sheets and cut down the right side just slightly so make room for the penguin from the die cut pack. I popped them both up with foam adhesive and attached them to the bottom of the first pocket. I also added two small light purple pieces of bling from my stash to this little grouping. To fill this pocket I chose the “Wonder” tag with the gorgeous pink tassel from the stationery pack, and also tucked in the Mary figure from the die cut pack. To add the pink eyelet onto the tag I simply removed the tassel, placed the eyelet, and then added the tassel back on.

For the second pocket I popped up the carousel from the die cut pack towards the bottom flap of the pocket making sure the top portion of the die cut hung over the edge of the flap for interest. I also added a little sparkle with four yellow pieces of bling from my stash. Inside the pocket I placed the frame from the stationery pack. To make it into a frame, I hand cut out the image of Mary from the inside and then placed my own photo behind it. There are four instax photos total layered in this pocket so my girlfriend can use them or store them here. To embellish the frame a little more I placed the bow flair towards the top using red line tape.

For the next pocket I decided to use the bow and “magic” both from the die cut pack. I first added the bow using foam adhesive, and then layered the “magic” under it which is also popped up. I chose another light purple piece of bling from my stash to dot the “i”, and called it good for the bottom portion. To fill the pocket, I used the purple carousel horse card from one of the cut apart sheets, and added one of my favorite tea bags in front of it.

This last pocket is one of my favorites because it holds a simple but pretty necklace. I chose the umbrella bird from the die cut pack to embellish the bottom of the pocket and added a single yellow piece of bling to the bird’s tale. Inside the pocket I placed the purple “magic” tag from the stationery pack after adding the pink eyelet and necklace. To hold the necklace in place as much as possible I used a strip of washi from my stash and attached it to the back of the tag…..and that’s it for this project. Below you can see everything taken out of the pockets. It actually holds quite a bit. In my option, the only thing missing is a movie to watch while you drink your tea, eat your chocolate, and use your face mask, lol.

Michelle's "December Dreams" Christmas Cards

Hey there, crafty friends and welcome to the most wonderful time of the year! I’m back with another craft, this time using the December Dreams kit from The Fairytale Club. I love the recent trend of using pastel colors for all things Christmas, and so this kit was just perfect for all my crafting needs! First up, I need to knock out Christmas cards.

I think sending cards at the holidays is such a fun way for me to be crafty, and also send someone a little mail to remind them that I’m thinking of them. The first item that caught my eye was the sparkly silver snowflake ornament, of course! Then as I dug into my kit more, I came across the die cuts where I found the tree cup, cupcake, and the sugar plum fairy! I used foam squares to add height and dimension to it, and the first one was finished.

For the next card, I knew that I wanted to use a lot of red. The pink and red polka dot paper made the perfect base! From there, I mounted the red bow paper on to a piece of craft paper, and used red tinsel around that! I love how sparkly the tinsel is. It also reminds me of vintage christmas decorations, which matched perfectly with the Nutcracker die cut piece! Finally, I finished it off with a tag.

Lastly, I knew that with all the sweets and candies in this kit, I just had to do one with that theme! The blue paper with candy designs was just perfect! This card was a bit easier since the pattern on the paper was so cute! Next I fussy cut the candy cane out of one of the pages and added a bit of shimmer with iridescent embossing powder! Then I finished it up with the gingerbread house and a couple die cuts, and there you have a sweet Christmas card!

I love this kit from The Fairytale Club so much, and I can’t wait to work with it some more! Hope you all have a happy and crafty holiday season!

Carrie's "December Dreams" Push Pop Gifts

Hello everybody! Carrie here, and today I'm sharing some adorable push pops decorated with the amazing December Dreams kit.

They are filled with goodies like bath bombs and candy, and I'm giving them as some fun and festive Christmas presents this year : )

To start decorating these push pops was difficult for me because I'm so in love with this kit that I wanted to use everything LOL! Eventually I did decide, though, on three of the planner inserts for the paper that wraps around the base. One paper is covered in whimsical Christmas trees, another lots of adorable gingerbread men, and the third is a section of a large, handsome deer. Before using red line tape to attach these papers to the base of my push pops, I cut each paper down to 3 inches tall by 6 inches wide. Then I used a 1 inch circle punch on the matching paper designs and added circles to the top of each push pop lid using a glue dot. At this point I stopped with the deer because it looked too perfect already, but I thought the other two could still use a little extra something.

For the gingerbread men themed push pop I decided to also add some homemade aqua and pink crepe paper fringe. I created the fringe by layering 4 strips of crepe paper together, sewing down the middle with my sewing machine, and using my scissors for the fringe cuts. I find it's super easy to attach the fringe to my push pop with hot glue.

For both the Christmas tree and gingerbread pops I also decided to make rosettes for the front. I chose the paper with the blue snowflakes on one side and red and white wave on the other for this. To assemble the rosettes I cut a strip of the paper down to 1 inch wide and kept it 12 inches tall. Then I used my bone folder to score every 1/4 inch. Once the whole strip was done, I folded on every score line using a mountain and valley fold. Next I placed a strip of red line tape on the end of the paper strip and attached it end to end creating a circle. Then I punched out a 1/2 inch circle to use on the backside of my rosette. As the final step i pushed the center of the paper strip circle down creating the rosette, and attached the punched circle to the middle using hot glue.

Now that my rosettes are done I added them to the front of my pops with hot glue. I chose the snowflake side for the Christmas tree pop, and and red and white side for the gingerbread pop. To give them a more finished look I decided to cover up the hole in the center of each rosette (it's the center of the back of the rosette that is covered at this point), and so I punched another 1 inch circle out of the base paper for each and attached it again using hot glue. Lastly, I added the gingerbread flair to the gingerbread pop using red line tape, and the crystal looking snowflake from the variety pack to the Christmas tree pop with hot glue. And that's it! Three down, maybe 10? to go lol!!
